I have no way of knowing whether a poster is male, female or somewhere in between, unless the name clearly indicates. And even then, who *really* knows?

There are heavily moderated, quasi-conservative websites available where the posts are saccharine sweet. Lucianne.com for example. Those with delicate sensibilities would probably be happier there.
Just FYI - Messianic Jews (and some others Christians I know) also do the same thing. There are very good explanations for why this is done, but that would take us way far away from the point of this thread (and it doesn’t have a LOT to do with Idols - it has more to do with not taking the name of the Lord in vain, and not allowing others to do so using the words they write).
