CHRIS PLANTE BIO (some excerpts from WMAL) -
The Chris Plante Show, 630AM - WMAL, Washington, D.C. is broadcast live during the week, Mondays through Fridays from 9:06 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. and on Sundays from 12:06 - 2:00 p.m. by himself and with Jerry Klein, WMAL's Pet Liberal, from 2:06 - 3:00 p.m.
Chris Plante, often sub to Mark The Great One Levin, joined the WMAL team after 17 years at CNN including nearly ten years assigned to the Pentagon covering the U.S. military and intelligence community. Chris was assigned variously as Pentagon Correspondent, Senior Producer for National Security Affairs, Military Affairs Producer and as an assignment editor. He traveled extensively for CNN covering defense related stories from Saudi Arabia in 1990 and Bosnia in 1995, to Vietnam, Indonesia, Africa and the remote corners of the former Soviet Union.
Chris also hosts the public affairs show Homefront America which is currently seen nationally on The American Life television network, and is working as a documentary film maker. Representing the third generation of his family that has been on-the-air in radio and television, Chris brings a unique world-view, and largely conservative/libertarian values to his role as talk show host on WMAL.
Marching in lock-step with no politician, Chris says his political party is Practi-crat, ...because of my distinctly practical political leanings. Chris received the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio and Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) for his reporting from the Pentagon during the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001.

Well, that’s Democratic politics. They should expect to be thrown under the bus.
As for the folksd that opposed the stadium, I can’t necessarily find fault with fiscal restraint; you’ll remember that people hated Cropp for wanting to cross the Ts and dot the Is.
I’m tired of seeing these powerful sports clubs screw over the taxpayers. Look at what the Dems did to us with the Ravens stadium here in MD. Sell the name of the building for millions and it goes to the team, while who built the facility for them to play in? But of course, you and I did, Silvie.
Public institutions will follow. Sooner rather than later I’ll probably see my son’s elementary school be renamed “The Home Depot _______ _______ Elementary School”, or something like that....
FYI - Tammy Bruce filling in for Laura I. right now....
Yeah, I heard a bit o’ both.
Plante in the office (computer), Bruce in the kitchen (where MAL is not reaching on this cloudy day).
Ingraham strikes me as rather strident (and I don’t mean that in a derogatory way), so I guess I’m a bit surprised to hear Tammy on that show.
Tammy has subbed for Laura many times before.... in fact, in my view, Tammy appears more acidic than Laura, but Laura got on my last nerve during the whole Harriet Miers debacle and I had to tune her out for a while back then....
Got it. moving to fast. lol thanks for the save.
I go through Ingraham phases ~ just don’t know whether it’s her or me? As much as I agree with the likes of Laura, Tammy or Mark Levin, I must admit that their voices can get on my very sensitive ears.
Hannity’s ‘ol “Luuuonggg Issssland” boyhood voice makes me cringe at times.... John Batchelor’s makes my spine curl.... George Noory’s “p” pronounciation makes me bite my fingernails.
FreeRepublic.com has been “down” for most of the day today, 4/1/08. Please be patient.
See you all tomorrow morning, hopefully, during another edition of The Chris Plante Show.
