Some I my best friends are white. Really.
That said, I was at first blush aghast, but then it started to make sense. Nothing else makes an impression on these hoodlums. And if they have Rev. Wright for a pastor, well, I'm sure their days are marked by who sells the most dope to whitey to get money into the hood to empower Blacks and pay for Rev. Wright's new home.
Just maybe a tongue lashing from such a person may sink in.
What? Some old guy talking at them? Remember when you were a teen and having to listen to some old person -- say over thirty or, God forbid, over forty-- giving you a "lecture".
And if I were a bettin' woman I'd bet that going to prison holds no shame in the black community. Heck, it's probably a rite of passage!
