Nope, I’m a Catholic.

Which brings up another matter weighing heavy on my mind and it’s a true story.

oncit upon a time I was a sweet little liberal lass. yes I was, pretty, intelligent, educated. I burnt my country’s flag and ranted against capitalism as the biggest evil since Lucifer.

As is the case with the libs, and I know them folks, yes I do, I took issue with my religion and if you don’t think liberalism and adherence to its stupidity can damage your life, think again.

For when I had a child I was so darn liberal I decided I would NOT baptize the child Catholic. I had issues with the Catholic church, yes I did. Well hey, we all have issues with the Catholic church at some point in our lives if we are thinking people. But when you’re a liberal you don’t like religion in general and, in fact, my Philosophy term paper’s title is “Why I Am an Athiest”. I still got it! Wrote it when I was 25 years of age (now am 58). when I chance to read it I want to cry.

But I was so damn open-minded that my brains fell completely out and I raised my one and only child in NO religion. “Let her choose her own religion if she wants one,” I would tell folks so proudly, my fine, open-minded self.

Now I am back with my faith from birth and my daughter, well she’s now 30 years old and for now anyway, she HAS a religion but for the longest time, nothing, nada. I failed her in that respect. children should be raised in a faith and parents should see to it that they get it. Except for Obama and his little girls who should never be exposed to his church’s hatred and vitriol.

So my daughter tells me she’s taking Kaitlyn, my granddaughter, to her church and I know I will never, ever know the joy of going to mass with my entire family. Oh I take Kaitlyn when she comes to visit, yes I do and I’m very serious about it, making sure she goes to Sunday school, teaching her about Jesus, showing her the sign of the cross. Well I can only make up to my granddaughter what my liberalism stole from my daughter.

Perhaps it was because I was taking Kaitlyn to church so much that my daughter went and found herself a church but that’s fine, that’s fine. So long as Kaitlyn is raised in a good religion where she learns the bible and love of Jesus. Which does seem to be happening to kudos to my daughter. Who I told how stupid I had been by the way and give her credit, she’s not making the same mistake with her own child.

But daughter doesn’t like the Catholic church and that’s her right. After all, my fine, liberal young self opted to allow her to pic her own church. I’m lucky that she even picked one at all but I will forever have lost something precious.

Which is why I despise liberals and want to slap every one of them silly.

Great story Fish, and yes you were a victim of Liberalism/atheism. What a hollow and empty life.

Jesus found me when I was 25 and it saved me in more ways than I can count. I have raised my son as a Christian and gave him to God when he was born.

He has a deeper faith than I do and is going to do a missions trip to Nicaragua this summer doing a puppet show in spanish. God is Good and Christ has Risen for all of us. He brings a New Beginning.

Pray for W and Our Victorious Troops

Have faith, Pat...and keep praying that she'll come home to the Church. My little nephew is learning the sign of the cross and thinks it's—in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Cannoli.
