I’m old enough to remember the edition previous to Richard Burton’s version ... careful now.

Tonight I was watching King Of Kings on TCM while at the same time I was watching my Mel Gibson’s Passion Of The Christ DVD. The differences were striking.

Which did you prefer? Our TCM had a Bette Davis special tonight.

Well I really didn’t see ALL of King Of Kings. Actually it was from from about 5pm to 8 pm. I geuss I prefer the Mel Gibson version. It seems more true to what probably actually happened. As morbid and at times difficult to watch as it might seem.

Two completely different films, I agree. Still the old classics are quite beautiful...I remember them fondly.
