Snugs,
My darling hubby wants to know if you can ship your trifle to the US! LOL. If not can you send him the recipe? (He’s the cook in our family).

Did I hear Peggy Noonan right? On Meet the Press she alleged Pastor Wright's audience was quiet and bored. I saw these videos. The cheers and emotion were obvious. On one occasion a least, a parishioner got up and touched pastor Wrignt with reverence.
This is going to be a long election if we cannot even agree on the facts.

I saw the beginning of the C-Span show with the foreign reporters. Did the Italian who was supposed to be the Latin America correspondent ever explain what he was doing in DC? I could not tell if he was based there, or just visiting.
DC seems like a long way away from Latin America. If I recall, it's three time zones away from Los Angeles, which seems to be the new capital of Latin America.
And your closing comment just re-inforces my theory that the majority of voters in this country will not forget Obama's comments. He may have thought he defended himself well from the charges about Jeremiah Wright, but Hyde Park does not represent America. I don't think he gets it.

No. The Clintons have been using the phony criterion of the popular vote because they are trailing in pledged delegates and can’t catch up. They just moved the goal posts and changed the rules of the game. Al Gore and his supporters tried to do the same thing in 2000. Al Gore won the popular vote nationally and should be President.

Have faith, Pat...and keep praying that she'll come home to the Church. My little nephew is learning the sign of the cross and thinks it's—in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Cannoli.

Phony is the Clintons’ middle name, but it is an interesting case they are trying to make.
The rules of the game are to tally up delegate and superdelegate votes at the convention. Obamaites are saying if the Clintons get the superdelegates to vote for her, when he has one more regular delegates, that that’ll be unfair insider trickery.
But if Hillary can rack up enough of the popular vote to say that no, the superdelegates are actually just righting the injustice of the delegate count not having reflected the majority—and the superdelegates are just as much a part of the process as the regular delegates—then the superdelegates will be bringing about the rightful result.
I really think we want to go against Obama, so I hope she doesn’t succeed.

John M. asks if Mrs. C. is a peacemaker (still doing the Sermon on the Mount)...Pat R. says—no, she’s a politician. Eleanor defends her saying—she’s a Methodist, the church with heart. Um, isn’t that W’s church???
