A Hundred Thousand Motorcycle Riders (Well quite a few hundred) infiltrated Berkeley along with hundreds of others who drove cages and used other forms of transportation (Tunnels with Trains) in Support of our Troops and the Marine Officer Selection Recritiment Office in the California town that is trying to withdraw from the human race and The United States Of America.
Well, that's my take on the actions of Berkeley whose very existance depends on our country being well armed and manned by Military Personell.
I arrived about 11AM, although my camera thought it was 10
The speakers were scheduled to speak in an hour or so, and it looked like this around the office:
About an hour earlier the bikes thundered into town, one with Melanie Morgan of Move America Forward on the back and loving every minute of it on the ride from Emeryville to Berkeley.
She straightened out her hair and got down to business and gave a great speech and even mentioned the astounding opposition...about four of the cross dressing punks in pink. They stayed on the outskirts and didn't try much of their brave dissing of Military people, past and present. The must have judged the many attendees correctly...
The crowd was enthusiastic and brought some great signs in Support of The Troops.
The greatest "sign" of all, the Flag of The United States of America. They were everywhere!
Thanks, guys, for that FAABULOUSLY funny bit!! and the explanation.
Flag in distress? Vietnam beads & a rat tail!
Hope I don't know him!

Thank you for these posts. ELOQUENTLY STATED. Yes, I agree that those who stand in opposition for our country are unknowing puppets for spiritual forces of evil way beyond their own understanding. This was one of the main reasons the prayer thread to cover the pro-troop activities was started.

If God is not real, then certainly we can stand up in our own human power to counter the anti-war contingent. However, if God and the ongoing battle of His good versus the adversary’s evil are real, then we require the power of God on our side in order to make progress.
This country was founded on God’s principles. I believe it was founded with His purpose in mind. His purpose is to set captives free from bondage both here and in eternity to live lives of freedom, where every individual is valued and treated with dignity. Jesus was willing to come and give His life for this purpose - that we might live.
No, our country is far from perfect and many details could be debated. However, since at least WWI we have not gone to war in order to gain land for ourselves or to conquer. We have gone to war against oppression, with the goal of helping those who are captive to be set free to rule themselves. Once they can stand on their own, we have LEFT. This is serving God’s purposes, this is sacrificial giving of our lives for the benefit of others. Do we benefit if these totalitarian regimes are gone? Certainly. But when we have fought we have also been serving purposes close to God’s heart.
Certainly God’s adversary would like us to stop fighting for the freedom of others even as we protect ourselves. The adversary is supernaturally devious, a master at making the wrong things sound right and good.
We are human - natural, not supernatural. We cannot overcome supernatural evil by our own good intentions. But God is Supreme - when we seek His will and to honor His Way by how we stand up, then He goes with us and no power of evil can prevail against us.
This event in Berkeley was prayed for by many on Free Republic, both before and during the event, both publicly on threads and privately in people’s homes. It is no surprise that the leftists did not show up in force. Where the presence of God is, the enemy does not want to be!
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” (Eph 6:12-13)
“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” (2 Cor 10:3-5)
Now, prayer which called on the power of God cannot take credit for all that came to pass on Saturday. It took individuals who heard God’s call and ANSWERED and CAME and STOOD UP for the work to be done. Prayer partners with God for release of His supernatural power into our natural events, but if no one STANDS UP, then the mission fails.
We are all inspired by Bible stories of faith like the story of Joshua and his army conquering the seemingly unconquerable Jericho or Nehemiah who working with a very small remnant of the people rebuilt all the walls around Jerusalem and re-secured it for God again after it had been burnt and destroyed. How wonderful to hear how Joshua and his men did the illogical as God instructed - walking around the walls of that city for 7 days without trying to break it down with their weapons and then shouting. Who would have thought it could have any effect? But God knew His power, His plan and throughout history He wanted people to know He had done this and not the power of man. In Nehemiah’s time, His power was with the small group of people as one by one they worked on rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, each in his assigned place. The enemy taunted, threatened, plotted, but the people knew God was on their side, that they were doing the right thing and so though armed and ready for whatever came, they simply persevered to do the work. And they SUCCEEDED! Because they heard God’s call, followed God’s plan and persevered.
What if they had been too busy to each do their part? What if they had thought they could not make a difference because there were too few? What if they had been afraid of the power of the enemies they faced? Even with God’s power, if they had not been willing to do their part, the victories would not have occurred.
I, too, see a movement afoot in this country which is encouraging. I wrote an op/ed piece on it published by Breaking Christian News in February called, “Silent Majority Silent No Longer”. Our country is being restored to its Godly foundations because individuals one by one ARE standing up and ARE taking their places to rebuild those portions of our country which are broken down.
What occurred in Berkeley is a sign of it and what a beautiful sight it was! FReepers across the country as well as members of many different groups are beginning to make a huge difference. And so we pray to God for His power and protection in this and we worship in thanksgiving and confidence of what He will do and listen for His direction in what our next steps should be.
flag in distress is a US flag upside down.
This vet doesn't have sleeves on his outer article of clothing so has the flag as far to the right as possible.Army Regulation 670-1
The regulation states that when authorized for application to the proper uniform the American flag patch is to be worn, right or left shoulder, so that the star field faces forward, or to the flags own right. When worn in this manner, the flag is facing to the observers right, and gives the effect of the flag flying in the breeze as the wearer moves forward. The appropriate replica for the right shoulder sleeve is identified as the reverse side flag.
Might be a little out of strict correctness, but I would bet this guy is a Viet Nam Vet.
You will see a similar display on vehicles carrying the President and other dignitaries; protocol is to have it flying from the right front fender.
see #103.
#104, hey, Sync, Our club is supporting a platoon in Iraq through Caring Hands. They sent us the flag patches and told us to place them on the right sleeve. I wondered why the patch looked backwards! Thanks for the answer. I have mine on my jean jacket which I wear when I go on PGR missions.
Beautiful.
Thank God for those who have eyes to see, hearts to understand, and a will to follow God into the battle of the ages...the one waged for souls.
Be blessed.
Well that's cool!
You and eaglesnest1 are probably aware of this information, but here is a good site called PRAYING FOR OUR GOVERNMENT LEADERS
Thank you for this, it is a beautiful page (and site)!
I had never heard of it before though I have been a member of www.presidentialprayerteam.org since its inception in October 2001.
God bless you and thank you for all you do, Syncro!
