I got myself a history degree, too, but just from your basic Catholic Jesuit university so maybe Ivy League history is different. F. Scott Fitzgerald observed that “the rich are different” so maybe they study different history. Or maybe this stupid SOB just can’t find a hole he’s not willing to jump into. I say arm the Serbian Christians to the teeth and let them annihilate the so-called “ethnic Albanians” who are nothing more than the advance guard and sacrificial lambs for a muslim beachhead in Europe. I still think I need to up my meds, though.
I've learned not to omit the {/sarcasm} at the end of posts. Fewer things skewer more mortally than humour, and there are things happening so ridiculous from this administration that while I'll oppose them, I'll laugh at them, also.
Perhaps, Mr. Bush really does believe he and his class are above history's vicissitudes; but, I imagine, so too did the Hapsburgs, the Hohenzollerns, the Romanovs and the Ottomans. He may have gotten his history degree from a prestigious school, but it's becoming embarassingly apparent that any lessons he could have learned were ultimately lost on him.
