AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's Anchorman, Truth Detector, and Doctor of Democracy. He is the man who runs America. He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--That's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--That's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).
This is one fascinating situation we have here. It is almost out of a novel, if you can step back for a minute.
A biracial guy whose mother was a white girl from Kansas, and father Kenya, spending time in Kansas raised by white grandparents....but liberal grandparents. VS a white woman who was first lady VS the ancestor of not 1, but 2 high ranking admirals, who felt like he had to live up to quite a high standard and also became a POW in dramatic fashion.
If this was written in the 1970s it would seem like science fiction. Throw in a Mormon, an Actor, a Governor from the same tiny town as a previous President, whose wife happens to be running for President, a nutjob gynocologist, a trial lawyer with great hair and the Mayor of New York who dressed in drag (but only for art).
Seriously, this would get laughed out of any script meeting.
Hey, navymom :)
True
I have UL and Duke in the championship game (both teams I dislike), everyone laughs, but I forsee a Coach K and Rick Pitino rematch in the future! *L* (Yea I know, it’s a good thing I didn’t do a huge pool for a lot of money huh?)
UConn has a pretty fair chance at getting pretty far. Duke isn’t as strong as Dickie V likes to pretend this season, and UCLA is one of the weaker 1 seeds.
In all honesty, I’d love to see a 16 seed go all the way. Never happen, but could you imagine the boost a little school would get from that?
Me either. I think they make it to the elite 8; I have UL beating them out...but I struggled with deciding between UL and Tennessee matchup.
Sounds like Rush’s hometown is taking a real beating last couple of days.
Lets see now... lets see the Ambassador to cuba?"
I'm thinking Calypso Louie, for sure!
And you did forget a few other 'characters' (a senator who was his party's VP candidate endorsing the other party's candidate, the other senator from the home state who is a DO NOTHING who was in the Senate because of his name, a senator from the SMALLEST state and a retired governor from the LARGEST state plus a moron who distoryed the Covair.)
"It would be a GRAVE mistake to ignore Michigan and Florida."
Thanks for the Ping!
Whatifsports runs computer simulations. They have a Kansas - Memphis final. Kansas has the statistically best chance to get there by far.
I have a Tennessee - Memphis rematch for the final. No bias here.
Does that mean she intends to bury the Democrat party if they don’t accede to her wishes?

UCLA will have a tough time against UConn. Thibalt is another one of UConn’s blocker. A small D1AA - or no football - school beating a BCS school, that would be GREAT!
I think Calipari will surprise you.
""There'll be a time...You'll be born of the eggshells to make soup...that's how grievous the famine will be on your lives. And God says that you're going to be scraping up pigeon droppings...to make gravy...to put on your eggshells, because there'll be nothing else to eat."
Was that the guy who played Corporal Kinchloe on Hogan's Hero's?
I’m completely disoriented by this entire ugly spectacle.
Trying to assimilate it all...we went through some very tough times while I was growing up in the 60’s...this has the potential to be worse. We’ll see.
