If Obama wins the nomination, I can see them holding the urban districts, but not the gerry mandered ones that include large portions of lower, middle income whites.

I'm not so sure about that, I wish I was but I'm just not. The Dems are the real pros at this game, but our side is all thumbs and a mile wide and it's a long time until November. The not-so-Reverend Wright tempest in a teapot will be long forgotten by election day, and for months on end the Democrat slime machine will have been dumping rancid doo-doo all over McNasty like a septic tank pumper truck unloading on a flat rock.
I have come to the sad conclusion, helped along by septuagenarian McNasty's RINO status and his apparently incurable ineptness at the campaign game, that this just isn't the right election year for the GOP's team of bungling political hacks to turn a sow's ear into an Oval Office grade silk purse.
