The scope and scale of the mess these bastards have created is larger than anything we've seen in nearly a century, and they are still in complete denial over it. Every last one of these snakes should be drawn and quartered for their actioins.. but they won't.. they'll walk away scott free and the rest of us will have to clean up their messes.

Who, dear sir, is "they" and "these bastards"? We have to be careful here, and looking to blame "everyone" isn't terribly productive. More important, now that we're in this mess, what steps can and should be taken to control the damage and prevent a complete meltdown?
