No wonder Michelle Obama has never felt proud about this country. You try sitting in the congregation of someone like Rev. Jeremiah Wright for 20 years, and I'm sure that some of the hate he spews would rub off on you, too ("9/11 Slur by Obama Rev," March 14).
Obama rails that his "good judgment" offsets his lack of experience. What kind of judgment does selecting this anti-American racist as your "spiritual adviser" show? Democrats and Republicans alike would be wise to take a step back before pulling the lever for this unknown, lest they wake up screaming the morning after.

I think Obama should be made to repeat the pledge of Allegiance , and wave an American Flag... this man has something to prove..and it is that he is not an Anti-American.
Just empty words was Hillery’s charge but Obama defended his oratorical genius with “words have meaning”.....so wouldn’t Obama admit that his pastor’s words have meaning. The congregation that sits still to absorb these words also get their meaning. If this is “the black religious experience” then our country will never be healed.
Politically speaking, Barack Obama is now a ‘dead man walking’. There is no way that he can win the general election after the revelations of his pastor’s sermons. The big question is, will the superdelegates let him win the nomination? If I were a betting man, I would bet that the supers will allow Hillary to steal the nomination at the convention.
Therefore, I think that its important that all Republicans who are willing to crossover in PA, NC, IN and the other Dem primary states, do so and vote for Obama. We need to make his delegate lead virtually insurmountable so that, when the nomination is stolen from him, there will be a greater backlash in the Democratic party.
Yep, now is the time to stand up and send out the emails about the reality of the racist scumbag Wright and Hussein ObamaSamma 20 year reality with this racist.

I have no doubt that what you say is true, that Obama can not win the presidency, but the very fact that he has gotten this far with his views is very disturbing to me. I of course do not like Hillary, the power driven liar. I feel that if Obama does not get this win in the Democratic Party, the “disinfranchised” anti-Americans will be so upset they will not turn out for Hillary.

“Something Outrageous????” Are they kidding???? Gotta love the way the Dems see this as an issue of Republicans being “so unreasonable” as to expect a man to quit his church and manage to completely blow off the entire point of the racist rantings delivered by the minister.
This single issue of having a hate filled spiritual advisor ought to color Obama plumb gone from the DC scene, much less from the Presidential campaign.

I will probably use this tonight a dinner party with a wide variety of political stances.

If I ever sat in a Church where the Pastor went on an American hate filled diatribe, I wouldn’t stay for the next act. First of all Christian Churches shouldn’t preach hate, and they shouldn’t preach politics, and last of all no man of God would swear the name of God in any way.
If the Democrats steal the nomination from Obama, it will have an impact on the down-ticket in November and will leave an open wound that will persist until 2012. And, you can bet that in 2012, there will be lot of blacks and left wingers who will feel that the party "owes them one". That may be as much fun to watch as this years's nomination.

All day, as these tapes came out, all I could think about was the horrible sixties, and the divisions then. My intuition is that this could do more to damage the effort to eliminate racism than the MSM realizes at the moment.
I fear there will be increasing uncertainty in the “hearts and minds” of many people (both black and white) about the unstated views of the “other” race.
At best this will simmer below the surface, and increase distance. At worst, we could have riots, violence, and worse in urban areas.
Sure hope I am wrong!
