“I think Obama should have refused to go on Fox News. They set it up so that he’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t? Now they want him to “quit” his church because they don’t like what a pastor said? Nobody ever asked a Republican politician to “quit” his church because of outrageous sermons from their pastors. Granted, Obama’s pastor did say something outrageous, but to ask him to quit his church over it is even more outrageous. This is red meat for Republicans.”
“Something Outrageous????” Are they kidding???? Gotta love the way the Dems see this as an issue of Republicans being “so unreasonable” as to expect a man to quit his church and manage to completely blow off the entire point of the racist rantings delivered by the minister.
If I ever sat in a Church where the Pastor went on an American hate filled diatribe, I wouldn’t stay for the next act. First of all Christian Churches shouldn’t preach hate, and they shouldn’t preach politics, and last of all no man of God would swear the name of God in any way.
That post misses something important.
I haven’t heard anyone ask Obama to quit his church. Perhaps they have, but it really doesn’t matter if he does or not. The significance of the church flap is greatest to those who wonder who Obama really is- beyond all of the platitudes about ‘hope’ and ‘change’.
You went to this church of GD America for twenty years, Senator. There must have been some appeal in the message for you, or you’d have gone elsewhere.
