His parents were the children of Jewish immigrants...He lives at the perfect address (Fifth Avenue and 79th St.) with his perfect Harvard Law School-educated Southern Baptist wife -- whose parents must be telling her they told her so right about now ...So, what is Ann trying to say here? Silda's parents were antisemitic? Or, is it that Coulter is?

Why does every generalization automatically have to be racist, sexist, or antisemitic?
A Southern Baptist's parents would probably be just as nonplussed at having their daughter marry a Jewish man as a Jewish man's parents would be at their son marrying a Southern Baptist woman.
Its not hateful to assume that. In my experience, parents generally would prefer, all other things being equal, that their children marry someone of the same religion. Its just a common generalization, nothing more.

I would assume her parents told her not to marry a Yankee.

A yankee.
A New Yorker
A laywer?
A non Baptist
A non Christian
Or someone who looks like a rodent.
The possibilities are endless.

Neither.
I could have told you so, but that would be racist.

Uhhhh - do you have a mother? Do you now have, or did you ever have, a mother-in-law?
If the answer to any of the above is “Yes”, you must have forgotten the “I told you so” syndrome.

...Silda's parents were antisemitic? Or, is it that Coulter is? To speculate about either one shows something rather dark in you.
