Olbermann targets Hillary tonight
The Clinton campaign, which protests a lot already about MSNBC's coverage, might have another piece of evidence to use against the network. Keith Olbermann said on yesterday's "Countdown" broadcast that he's giving a "special comment" tonight about Hillary Clinton.
HuffPo's Rachel Sklar notes that the YouTube-friendly "special comments," which typically target the Bush administration, often generate hundreds of thousands of views online.
Of course, it's already been a rocky couple months between the Clinton campaign and the network. Chris Matthews and David Shuster had to issue public apologies for statements directed toward Clinton and her family.
And Tucker Carlson, a harsh critic of top Clinton aides, recently lost his show. While the Clinton campaign wasn't the official reason, I've heard internally that senior news executive Phil Griffin was not happy with Carlson's on-air statements about Clinton staffers
So will Olbermann, who also anchors election night coverage, be the next to suffer the Wolfsonian wrath? Guess we'll see after tonight's show.
Thanks for looking. I found that too but I was sure there was one of his “Screeds” where he didn’t even sight Olberman but was clearly using his head-exploding “writing style” as a template. It was a spot-on parody and priceless.
If he was fired he wouldn't have a pit to hiss in.
I can’t watch....It reminds me of too much of being forced to watch a public beheading. The guy is an orifice that spews a rotten stench of hate and vile.
