After Tuesday's primaries it's official Hillary Clinton has gotten up off the mat, and an opportunity to possibly finish her off has gone by the wayside. Just how much, if at all, this might have been due to Republican crossover voting in Texas is unclear. But one thing is not: The chances of a potential Clinton/Obama unity ticket, which would have the best shot of all possible tickets of spelling doom for the GOP in November, have just gotten better.
Yes, there is still the possibility of a Democratic civil war and intra-party meltdown, which was apparently the point of conservative crossover voters trying to keep Sen. Clinton's candidacy alive. Mathematically, it appears almost certain that neither she nor Sen. Obama can obtain the number of delegates needed to prevent a brokered convention and keep the nomination from going to the superdelegates to decide. But to presume that this will automatically get the fur flying is presuming a bit too much.

Former Senate Democratic leader Tom Daschle of South Dakota also mocked the idea. (Obama VP)
“It may be the first time in history that the person who is running number two would offer the person running number one the number two position,” Daschle said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
Most white union males won’t vote for this ticket. Both will rush to claim Evan Byh (SP)for veep.
Obama doesn’t have to settle for second, and he won’t. The more likely scenario he would be pressured to pursue is Hillary as VP. He’d be a fool to do it, and he’s no fool. Hill and Bill would be undermining him at every turn. I doubt his foreign policy adviser (who got fired) is not the only one on his team who thinks Hillary is a monster.
Contrary to popular opinion, I believe Obama is more beatable so Limbaugh’s antics are likely to backfire big time on everyone. Rush, please find something else to bloviate on about. You waited to get behind any real Rep candidate until it was too late and now you are making it worse IMO.
Let Obama take the front lines while Clinton “concedes” and “unites” the democrats out of sheer “humility”. We have ourselves the saviors of the democrats and the pres. ticket to “heal the world”.
Politically there is nothing in this for either of them. If Obama is VP and Hilary crashes and burns he won’t ever become president. Even if she does well for 8 years . . . remember Al Gore? I suspect Obama would rather run in a primary against her after her 4 year stint then be her VP.

He's not even likely to want one of 'em as his #2.
At the same time there's a crowd, mostly Democrats, who will never vote for Obama for #1 or #2. That's why he's the best candidate for the Republicans to run against.
If we do this right we might even see the Democrats split into two separate parties ~ and that's why it was good to keep Hillery in the race.
Now that'd be some serious "change" and give all Republicans "hope".
Undermine him! They have benefitted from less important people’s deaths. I don’t think undermining is the most of his worries.
I tend to agree a BHO and HRC ticket would be a disaster for the Dems. They have to get a moderate to balance out the socialism.
Balderdash.
Keeping Hillery alive — whether on life support or a true resusitation — only served to continue the bloodbath and give the GOP more ammo come fall.
I doubt that Obama wants to serve his hypothetical presidency looking over his shoulder at a VP who’s gunning for him. Putting her on the ticket would be a sign of desperation.
Which he might be. I don’t know if McCain can beat either of them, together or singly, but I’d rather him run against an Obama who’s been bloodied by his own party.
Hillary’s no less flawed a candidate than she was before March 4.
No. The Republicans are giving us Hillary by their timid track record over the past 8 years and in addition, not having a truly conservative candidate selected as "their boy" to run against raging Marxist liberals.
Vote for Hillary or vote for McCain...either way you will be getting a liberal.
You’re right about Rush screwing up badly by not doing the right thing and backing Fred Thompson from the start. But you’re wrong in that keeping the rodent dog and pony show going for a few more months causes more and more divisions in the party and ultimately benefits us, especially with the GOP’s own flawed nominee.
I think Hillary would do overall worse than Obama (although in my particular state she would do better, but that’s because he did poorly in the Dem primary), namely because if she is seen as having stolen the nomination from Obama, large numbers of Black voters (their core bedrock supporters) and White ultraleftist activists will boycott the election or vote 3rd party.
A “dream ticket” simply doubles a major negative of both candidates - inexperience. The entire H/O ticket would have a combined ten years of Senate experience.
LOL There sure seem to be a lot of Chicken Littles this year.
Do you think the GOP base has figured out that Rush isn’t the God he makes himself out to be? I know it’s a joke when he goes on about his intellegence, but a part of me thinks he might be buying his own line of bull.
12. (HRC, 2001-09; BHO, 2005-09).
Really? While I don't have the political wisdom or acumen of this Guru Karki, I beg to differ.
First of all, all one needs to do is observe how all the Dhummies are in a tither over the thought of a protracted, chaotic and nasty campaign as exhibited by comments by Pelosi, Howard Dean, and more so, their vacuous, corrupt media lap dogs, who have been wringing their hands and suggesting B.O. and The Beast, kiss and make nice.
Will B.O. accept the Vice Presidency? Would Hitlery do the same.
I seriously doubt either scenario.
Hitlery will not play second fiddle to anyone and B.O. really believes he is the anointed one and thus, will accept nothing less than his coronation.
Either way, having The Witch continue to remain in the running is having some success as many Blacks (including the Reverrrend Al Sharpton) are cautioning all that IF there should be so much as a whiff of improprieties (ya, right, with the Clintoons?) their will be riots in the streets.
Moreover, many whites (including Reagan Democrats) are beginning to resent what they perceive as being used and are resisting jumpin on the ObamaMama bandwagon.
Either way, I just can't conceive EITHER one throwing in the towel at this point in time and just giving up for the "good of the party." Ain't going to happen.
Thus, for the time being, the MUST necessarily step up the attacks on each other; bloody their opponent, create additional animosity between camps--all of which benefits us.
