The Temple Institute is Pleased to Announce that Production of 120 Sets of Linen Garments for Lay Priests is Presently Underway
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 1,938 years the linen garments of the lay priests are being produced in preparation for the rebuilding of the Holy Temple and the renewal of the Divine service. The last priestly garments to have been worn were those worn by the priests who were martyred by the Roman legions who brutally invaded and destroyed the Holy Temple on the ninth day of the month of Av, in the year 70 CE. THE TEMPLE INSTITUTE HAS SPARED NO EFFORT in procuring the necessary materials for the performing of this Torah commandment, and once again has enlisted 21st century technology in order to do so in a manner befitting the Torah injunction that these priestly garments be "both dignified and beautiful". (Exodus 28:40)
SPECIALLY PREPARED FLAXEN THREAD, wound into six-ply strands, according to the Torah prescribed requirement, ("twined linen - shesh mushzar"), has been imported from India. These individual spools of thread are presently being spun into larger 1.7 meter long spindles in order to accomodate the next step: the weaving of bolts of fabric 1.7 meters wide. Before commencing this process, (known in Hebrew as hashtayah), of creating the 1.7 meter spindles, Rabbi Yisrael Ariel, founder of the Temple Institute made the traditional shechechiyanu blessing expressing gratitute to G-d " ...for keeping us alive and preserving us and permitting us to behold this day." In addition, before every step of the manufacturing process, a special statement of intent must be uttered in Hebrew: "L'shem mitzvat assei assiyat bigdei hakehuna: for the sake of the positive commandment to make the priestly garments."

I’ve got no problem with re-building, but someone’s got to do something about that “Dome of the Rock” thing.
Read the blessings and cursings pronounced by God through Moses and Joshua, then the major and minor prophets.
The Old Covenant served its purpose. It’s over.
Any way I can get a couple of pairs of pants and about 5 lbs of red heifer to go?
Wow!
When I lived in NYC from 1966-72, I saw banners over bridges, etc. all the time, announcing collections of money for the Temple in Jerusalem to be rebuilt. 40 years on and look where we are.
Ping!
Are they going to have to call the Mormons for confirmation of Aharon's family tree? And $695 for them? Outsource it to China and you can probably get them for $49.95.
Business is business, Mordecai...
As I recall, isn’t this supposed to be one of the signs of the end times and the return of our Lord?
What’s that sound? It’s a heard of stampeding dispensational premillenialists running for this thread.....yaaaahhhhhhh
Take it easy, I got nuttin but love for ya!
All in good time, all in God’s time.
“As I recall, isnt this supposed to be one of the signs of the end times and the return of our Lord?”
Only to dispensationalists. A supposed “third temple” isn’t mentioned anywhere in the Bible, and for very good reason.
Not that it hasn’t been tried before, though. In 363 A.D. they tried to build a third temple, and while they were working on it, there was sudden “unexplainable” fire and earthquakes; so they gave up.
In 70 A.D. the temple was destroyed, just as Christ said it would be. So I don’t believe God would allow for a third temple when Christ is the Temple and the Lamb of God.
Revelation was written about 35 AFTER the temple was destroyed.
35 = 35 years
According to Christ is it NOT over.... Even Paul says ICorinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples (examples): and they are written for our admonition, (warning) upon whom the ends of the world (age) are come. The LAW still lives but the 'blood' offerings ended with the final 'blood' sacrifice of Christ. Oh and remember Christ said "Destroy this 'TEMPLE', and in three days I will raise it up" John 2:19
Well, that is the crux of the argument. I believe that it was written under the early date scenario verses the late date (your) scenario. Written under the early date, it makes perfect sense with what unfolded in AD70. Under late date, it doesn’t. Under early date, the time texts make sense under late date it doesn’t.
I really don’t want another tired argument about this stuff, but if we must then....go ahead.
This is a matter for the Gedolim to decide!
