A lot of speculation has taken place among the medias talking heads as to who John McCain will pick as his running mate. As is the norm when mainstream pundits discuss Republican politics, their suggestions are not in the partys best interest.
Beyond that, theyre also lazy. The media looks at who is in the race, who was in the race and a few other national leaders of prominence and keeps speculation to within those small groups. Thats the equivalent of a corporation picking its company president out of a hat. Vice Presidents are chosen based on geographic or national appeal. Not because someone also ran, wasnt popular and lost (or is popular, but only among the same demographic that backs the top of the ticket), but at least has a familiar face and will save the media interns some time from having to research his already known background.

I am so sorry, my juvenile humor ought to be frowned upon and discouraged.
No apologies necessary. This is so obviously over-the-top and tongue-in-cheek it actually demonstrates my annoyance better than my post.
Thank you!
“I like most everything Ive read about Palin. But, Ive tried to find videos which demonstrate her ability to deliver a speech, something where she tells what she has done in Alaska with a presence which motivates people to pull that lever.”
And she just announced she was pregnant with her 4th child. Count her out.
McCain will pick someone who wants to ‘reach out for bipartisan compromise... who will reach across the aisle’
In other words, he’ll pick a weak appeaser to the Left. You can also be sure it will be someone who wants totally open borders.
John Bolton.
And serving for governor of the least populous state for two years doesn’t help. She should get re-elected, maybe serve as energy secretary in the future. Then she’d be an interesting possibility.
So is Bill Clinton..
She is seven months’ pregnant right now, I would not put any stock in the suggestion that she may be on the ticket.
Due with fifth child. I don't think so.
She'll have the baby (God willing) in May. Even with 2 to 2.5 months of downtime she can get to campaigning at the start of August. My hunch is that Gov. Palin campaigning for 3 - 3.5 months beats the tar out of any given Dem or RINO campaigning for 5 months.
Of course, I'm a bachelor without kids who supported Fred "let's not be hasty about this" Thompson, so what the heck do I know.... ;-)
The more likely probability is that she'll get a prime spot speaking at the convention to set up her future in the party. The GOP sure needs a big dose of Palin - or something like her - in the arm right this instant.
McCain/Obama
It sure does.
By the way, that Vogue cover does not compliment her, it looks like her head is photoshopped onto someone else’s body.
Ah, yeah, that's because her head is photoshopped onto someone elses body.
The cover is the creation of an Alaskan blogger.
It’s grotesque - makes her look a lot older than she really looks. Was that made by a supporter or an opponent?
No way! Hunter’s loyal fans, like Tancredo’s, were/are anti-Invasion folks who wouldn’t pull the switch for McAmnesty if their lives depended on it.
Moreover, Hunter was a 1%er. He couldn’t deliver Southern Cal. to McQueeg, much less the entire state.
Agreed!
Duncan Hunter received 64 Votes in Travis County, Texas.
I was one of the 64 I imagine the other 63 votes were from fellow Freepers.
