A box filled with items believed to be explosives was discovered Monday evening in Lowndes County. At approximately 8:30 p.m., the Valdosta Police Department was notified of a suspicious container that had been found earlier that evening in west Lowndes County and transported to the 3600 block of Lake Laurie Road, according to Valdosta police.

Bomb found at Marsh warehouse (Indiana)
April 1, 2008
YORKTOWN -- An explosive device was recovered early today at the Marsh supermarket warehouse as police continue to investigate the bomb's maker.
A warehouse security guard called law enforcement just before midnight reporting that an employee had brought an explosive device to work, according to 911 dispatch supervisor Harold Mason. No one was injured, and the county's bomb squad confiscated the device, according to Delaware County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Phil Clark.
Yorktown police and sheriff's deputies conducted a search of a home at High and Vine streets this morning to search for more explosive devices. There were no immediate arrests.

I’m not sure by reading the article who transported those explosives but this is a general reminder for everyone...if you see what you think is a bomb or unknown type of explosives; don’t pick it up.
Call your local police department and let them deal with it.
It’s surprising how often people will pick up explosives and bring them in to a police department to show and tell.
THANKS for those links/post Oorang.
Authorities are working with a Houston-based drilling company to find $2 million worth of stolen tools and a radioactive container. The equipment was stolen along with a Ford F-250 truck from outside a Pharr motel, nearly two weeks ago. The truck was recovered over the weekend near Falfurrias in neighboring Brooks County. But there was no sign of the radioactive substance.
Lt. Lupe Salinas with the Pharr Police Department said authorities have used a helicopter and searched high and low for the radioactive substance but so far have come up empty handed. Anyone who comes across the container is asked not to touch it but instead to call authorities immediately.
