K-Lo, writing here from Austin, Texas.
Not sure why the networks haven’t picked up on this, but there is definitely a sizable portion of the vote in Texas tonight comprised of Republican voters looking to “game” the Democratic primary. I spoke with numerous friends today, who claim to be Republican, who said they voted for Sen Clinton with the thought that it will prolong the Dem in-fighting and therefore benefit Republicans. I won’t debate the merits of their argument here, but the phenomenon (Republicans voting for Sen Clinton to gain the system) is real and I think material to the results. I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone reporting it and just how large the impact might be. I’m sure it is contributing to the number of voters deciding in the final three days to support Sen. Clinton. Would be curious to hear your contributors comment on this dynamic. The VRWC conspires to save the Clinton campaign?

If I’m betting the farm, more data inputs trumps the opinion of one.

I agree, in my opinion the beast and Bill in the White House again is the worst possible scenario. Actually, her is one that is worst and I believe will happen; the beast and Bill are back in the White House and Obama is in the VP because the Democratic Party pushed for it after the broken convention.

I think the Democrats are sick of presidential dynasties as Republicans are. My opinion only, but McCain wins big over Hillary.
I think an underreported factor is the growing tension between blacks and latinos. Blacks have lost their long-held “largest minority” standing, and Hillary’s win in TX showed how pivotal the hispanic vote is and will continue to be. Watching Hillary assiduously court the latino vote, perhaps tapping someone like Bill Richardson for her VP, savvy blacks may wise up, refuse to reliably fall in line behind the Obama killer, and stay home this November.

What Rush is doing is bigger than just Hillary or Obama, he’s out to destroy the Dem party.
I voted for Obama in the Va primary because Hillary was ahead. Now it’s time to vote Hillary with Obama ahead. Keep them neck and neck and they will proceed to destroy the party and break up the base vote up to and during the convention. Neither could possibly win the General under those circumstances.

You are a fool. Do you really think that 5% of the democrat vote were republicans voting for Hillary?????????? without looking, something like 130,000 to 150,000 republicans crossed over and voted for Hillary? Republicans have been crossing over and voting for obama since Iowa.
I am sorry to be rude but all you guys that think Rush has all this control aren’t playing with a full deck. I am sure if Rush DID have all that control the USA would have had a different face over the last 20 years or so.

All this Rush bashing is a huge waste of time. Rush didn’t get McCain the nomination. And Rush hasn’t impacted the Hillary win last night either.
If there is any blame, it is the the MSM’s push to set up McCain to lose. It is a huge mistake to think that any one person can have that much impact. But the COMBINATION of the MSMedia’s influence on ignorant/uninformed/ voters has had a huge impact. They have played a much larger role in this than anyone could calculate.

His "advice" was so dangerous -- Hillary was going to plow on ahead even if she lost. Now, thanks to Rush, her campaign has a new life, when it should have been destroyed completely.
Ed Morrisey said this extension of the Dem campaign will cost them each $10 million, minimum. That’s just through PA. So it may be a very good thing she isn’t gone yet. It is still possible for her to so alienate black voters that only, say, 88% turn out to vote Dem instead of 91%-—and that is an important margin.

Gore and Kerry were lightweights too, only neither of them had an ounce of charisma. To think the media would let McCain exploit Obama is naive.
That's what they are. Go read the live thread from last night. I think half of these dittoheads will be waiting for a "thank you" bouquet of roses from Rush.
It will cost them a lot more than that. The missed opportunity to start raising money for the general election could well reach $100 million. And if there is disunity in the party after the convention, forget it.
