Thanks. I know what it is like. I have a Mac which, even with OSX Tiger, with this nearly 8-year-old computer, I need from time-to-time to re-boot it because it dcides to “crash”. :-)

I refer you to my post upthread where I lament the lack of enthusiasm for who conservatives got stuck with this year.
So let me continue...frankly I don’t think McCain has the ability to unite this party to the zeal required to win an election. Oh sure, lots of us will hold our nose and vote for him but damn, how sad is it when we have to vote for a candidate because of our FEAR of the other candidate? What kind of way is that to win the presidency?
Rush’s replacement today, forget his name, said something so true. McCain has an “obsession” with having the other guys like him.
This is not going to change. Over the next seven plus months, McCain is just not ever going to buoy up the Republican base. He’s not going to instill in us a zeal and enthusiasm, a happiness, hope and excitement that our guy will win and we shall sing.
If I thought that McCain had the ability to do that I wouldn’t be so damn morose about the guy.
Instead, on Novemeber 08 election night, IF McCain should win, and I have serious, serious doubts about that, we won’t be breaking out the champagne and cheering. We’ll nod and accept that the agony is finally over.
Sad. really sad.
