This can’t be the 1st renovation since Andrew.
I would be stunned if true .. all these
years. It sure sounds like a major upgrade.
I bet the skeeters are there in droves.
Don’t miss them.

Was Crist in a tanning booth when the lights went out?
No, wait. He's in St. Pete to open Spring Training and banquets. You know, they should move Tallahassee to St. Pete for CC.

you've got it backwards -- as Wiki says, Turkey point (probably by providing nice clean warm water with fences to keep out human predators) has helped the beasts move FROM "endangered" (which is worse) TO merely "threatened." (which is better)
It says nothing about the plant CAUSING either the "danger" or the "threat"

FYI, Pistolville and Ft. Repose are really Tangerine and Mt. Dora, Florida, about 15 nautical NW of Orlando.
In the aftermath of the book being published, 200 of the Finer While Families in Lake County built a huge fallout shelter and it’s still there.

I was under the impression that’s what caused the lights to go out - the tanning booth blew a fuse.
OK, ‘nuf of my lame joke. Did the outage affect you?

I'm thinkin' the power outage affected the internet. It's slower than molasses. I can't get anything done. I can't even think of anything funny.
Oh, yes I can. See my tag line. FV

That may be just why the word ‘outage’ was invented.

We're down in south Dade county, Fl. more west of the coast.
The line that went out ran along the US 1 route and fed up the state.

In four years we are going to be in a full blown power crisis. We are at the point of no return now. Too many power projects have been halted by Crist. He doesn’t give a rat’s ass...he’s too busy looking to be the next VP.

Got the message - Thanks.
No good (new) info on the reason for this blackout from my industry sources, but I was out of office today, and can’r check with others until late tomorrow.
For what its worth, several sections of the Atlanta area were cut out from blown down power power lines after an early-morning windstorm today. But that happened a long way from the Jax/Turkey Point area.

Crist didn’t give a crap about renewable energy before he hoisted the solar panels onto the governor’s mansion—on our dime. Now he’s caught up in his liberal lovefest with Ahnold and whoever is the green Kennedy. Crist is starry-eyed over the celebrities. They all happen to be liberals too.
