O.K. Freepers; a little "lighten up" time here. Let's hear your choices for a VEEP for John McCain.
I personally think a very sharp, CONSERVATIVE woman with a Hispanic surname would help the ticket. How 'bout former Labor Secretary, Linda Chavez?

How about a true conservative? I don’t care if they are black, brown, blue, green, man, woman or hermaphrodite. None of that crap matters. But it will continue to matter as long as we play their game and place an emphasis. Lets end it all here and now.
A conservative, free-market capitalist, patriotic-American who believes in the original intent of our founding fathers. That’s who we need. Period

How about “I Resign?” That might help.

How 'bout former Labor Secretary, Linda Chavez? No way. She pretty much called people like me racists because we want our immigration laws enforced.

I can see McCain choosing Lieberman. Wouldn’t that be an interesting play.

Hillary Clinton (my Friend™, said McCain), John Kerry (my Friend™, said McCain), or Joe Lieberman (my Friend™, said McCain). Because I want to be entertained with the inevitable rationalization of leftist Republicans to dance with that ticket to "stop the Democrat agenda". LOL

I personally think a very sharp, CONSERVATIVE woman with a Hispanic surname would help the ticket. I fit that bill, but I would respectfully have to decline. Thanks for offering. :-)

First of all anyone who was in the Republican primaries and lost big is out of a chance to be VP.
That only leaves Mitt and Huck in that group. I sorry but both have a religious problem.
You need to find a real Conservative who has charisma. Another word, not boring!

Two names that are being worked in DC are Sen John Thune and JC Watts, although there is no indication that either has been approached by anyone in position of authority in the McCain camp or that either would accept.
The JC Watts companies do very well and after years of public and private service as youth pastor at Sunny Lane Baptist Church with little financial reward, JC likes the easier lifestyle of corporate America.
