Barack Obama’s campaign is expressing outrage at a new photo attributed to Clinton campaign sources that depicts the Democratic presidential candidate dressed in Somali garb.
The picture, which appeared at the top of Monday’s Drudge Report, says Clinton staffers circulated the 2006 photo over the weekend. It shows the Illinois senator fitted as a Somali elder, during his visit to northeastern Kenya that was part of a five-country tour of Africa.
“On the very day that Senator Clinton is giving a speech about restoring respect for America in the world, her campaign has engaged in the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering we’ve seen from either party in this election,” Obama campaign manager David Plouffe said.
“This is part of a disturbing pattern that led her county chairs to resign in Iowa, her campaign chairman to resign in New Hampshire, and it’s exactly the kind of divisive politics that turns away Americans of all parties and diminishes respect for America in the world,” Plouffe continued.
According to Drudge, the unnamed Clinton campaign staffer said: “Wouldn’t we be seeing this on the cover of every magazine if it were HRC,” short-hand for the candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Shown the photo by reporters, Bill Clinton’s press secretary said the candidate’s spouse will not have any reaction.

Expect another grenade tomorrow and the Daisy Cutter of Dirt to be dropped on Wednesday or Thursday. This is Clinton’s Stalingrad and they are saving their most potent dirt bomb for maximum effect.
“Yes, he was the subject when someone took the photo. What’s there to be upset about? Oh, I suppose it’s “taken out of context”. Well, dude, you were still in the photo. If the photo is real, tough. If it’s not, well then that’s another matter.”
I think he is angry that the photo was released by the Clinton campaign. The obvious implication is that his loyalty to our country is not assured. It is slimy politics of the worst kind.
Of course, the best response to this would be that “I love my country”, to swallow his pride and act more patriotic, maybe even make some references to the founding fathers and don a flag pin. I don’t think he will even be able to bring himself to fake patriotism, however.
This picture is the KKKlintons pulling a Willy Horton on Barak. They are the racists, not conservatives.
Exactly, the Liberals success with inflicting the populace with BDS allows them open to any and all personal as well as Policy attacks....
Seems like then went and opened up that can of worms now huh...
It’s not photo-shopped, so where’s the beef? It’s a real picture, so he hasn’t a leg to stand on. He can always circulate the pics of Hillary kissing Arafat’s ugly wife.
I can’t WAIT to get home and launch photoshop for the headscarf hill and muslim garb Obama pics.

It is when the *purpose* of releasing it is to appeal to sentiments that you make a big point of denouncing in your campaign.
Additionally, The minute they claim Conservatives are being unfair to their man I say we all scream that they attempting to silence dissent...
Remember with the liberals dissent only exists with those that disagree with their positions... They fully intend to shut down free speech if it does not agree with their views...
