The reality is Obama probably won’t be able to do most of the stuff he says and he knows it. It will be a bad 4 years and then it will be over. Let’s hope the gun control part won’t be too bad and can be undone like Brady and the taxrates can come back down easily. Rather than hold my nose and vote, I will hold my nose and vote for someone better in 4 years.

Thanks for the rationalization.

The damage will be fast, severe and long lasting.

Don't bitch next year if Hilabama is elected and he actually does what he promises. Even Tammy Bruce said a couple weeks ago that she was appalled that conservatives were really unaware that the democrats would actually attempt to do the things they promised before November of 2006.

Yep you are the epitomy of Hope... You Hope that in 4 years Conservatism still exists. I fear it will be relagated to the history of the KKK.

With a Democrat majority in both houses, how would Obama not get most of his ideas in some form to fruition? How many of these ideas can we afford? I doubt I’m the only one here who thought Clinton would be out in four years. Popularity was enough to get Clinton a second term, and Obama is at least as popular, if not more so (were they fainting for Bill before he became president? I haven’t found any references so far); add a younger, more attractive family, “white guilt” and “history-making” into the mix, and think again about where this country will be for the next election.

If we weren’t at war (remember the WoT?), we might have the luxury of playing politics. As it is, at least two of the Supreme Court Justices are very likely to leave the bench, and the troops need a CiC who respects and supports them and one who understands the mission. Neither Obama nor Clinton fit that bill.
