Then file a complaint, this is the first time I have paid any attention to this sordid mess. Kinda hard to ignore somebody alll strapped up taking a lie detector test. Yes I know it is NOT admissible in a court of law, but they are most useful for investigators to assess the veracity of people.
Who is "us"? This is one man, Larry Sinclair, telling an important story about his own personal experiences and taking every action conceivable to demonstrate that he is telling the truth. All I'm doing is watching it happen.
You're correct that we need to be cautious. But what if he is telling the truth? Do you still think it makes us look stupid?
Do you think smoking crack and cruising bars for anonymous sex just a few years ago is behavior appropriate for a fellow who wants to have sole control of our country's nukes?
Do you think harassing a citizen to keep silent is appropriate behavior for the guy who can order the IRS to audit people?
I don't know whether the guy is on the level or not. But just sweeping a potential character defect like this under the rug is not the right thing to do.
