In an interview with 1200 WOAI news during his swing through Texas, longshot Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee outlined a strategy which has him not winning the GOP nomination outright, but pushing the nomination to the September Republican National Convention, which he says will turn to him as the most conservative alternative.

Yeah, Fred could be back in it.
I wish Rick Santorum was our next President.
blech.
I don’t think Huckabee has Fred in mind...or anyone else for that matter.
That fruitcake can’t even catch the candidates who’ve pulled out.
Be sure to wake him up first.
by that I mean he failed once. and it wouldn’t be him. Huckabee’s trying to be a weak as water version of George Wallace. Splendid.
The dems already got their wish - a McCain candidacy. At this point, I’m praying that we get another nominee at the convention. It’s our only hope.
It could be a wide open convention.
Well certainly the pro-Democrat MSM's strategy because they are covering the advertising expenses for Huckabee.
Isn’t it pathetic? This fellow has zero ZERO shot at winning come November and yet he’s more than happy to play along with the MSM and be a source of their amusement.
I think his real strategy is to hope McCain croaks before the convention, leaving him as the default.
I love my country and it’s heritage except that I do not want to be told by my government when to bow my head. I can’t make it any plainer than that.
Mike Huckabee, the Fair Tax He’s got my vote and donations.
We would be no better off with Huck than McCain.
I might vote for Huckabee in the Ohio primary as a protest vote against McCain. It would be a good thing if Huckabee won Texas and Ohio and denied McCain victory in the primaries, thus forcing the convention to choose the nominee. It would keep the Democrats off balance since they would not know for certain who the nominee was going to be.
You mean the guy who couldn’t hold onto his own sear?
