The place is and has ALWAYS been called "Kosovo Metohija" "Kosovo" translates to "Field of Blackbirds" in Serbian and has NO meaning in Albanian.(Nor does "Kosova", the Albanian bastardization of that name). "Metohija" means "Church/Monastery Land".
We are trying to turn it into "Land of the Mosques"!

Reminiscent of the term “Palestinian”. I wonder how many of the patriotic Americans on FR advocating the bombing of Serbia and recognition of Kosovo would agree to the same treatment of Israel to form “Palestine”?

Clinton's policy regarding the Balkans was as totally screwed up as Carter's policy regarding Iran. The fact that we are apparently continuing this madness is beyond disturbing.
