President and Mrs. Bush are traveling in Africa. They left on February 15 and will return on February 21. They have already visited Benin, Tanzania and Rwanda. Today they were in Ghana,
US President George W. Bush visited the President of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor, at Osu Castle and they held a joint press availability.
The President and Mrs. Bush had lunch at the American Embassy with Peace Corps workers.
The President and Mrs. Bush then visited the Mallam D/A Primary School. The President attended a T Ball game while they were there.
They then visited the International Trade Fair Center in Accra, Ghana. While there, they met with 30 tribal chiefs.
This evening they were entertained with a State Dinner. Laura wore a lovely pantsuit trimmed in gold and the President's tie matched her outfit. You will enjoy the photos but they are at the end, lol. And there are many other photos to enjoy before we get there.

Africa is our second largest continent and has over 50 countries. Ghana is on the west coast, right next door to the Ivory Coast. Ghana was formerly known as the Gold Coast.
