Precisely what I’m trying to do; become educated. Dh bought me an imac for Christmas. I’m starting with nothing, except little pieces of help from FReepers. One day, I’ll get on over to the area Apple store and learn even more. Until then, I’ll continue to ask questions, which unfortunately means I’ll continue to tolerate posts such as yours.

My apologies... but after years of hearing this canard from NON-Mac users who haven't a clue, I erroneously lumped you in with them. Sorry.

To turn on your double clicking... under the Apple menu, select System Preferences. That will bring up a window with the controls for the Mac. Select "Keyboard and Mouse" and select the "Mouse" tab. This will allow you to configure your mouse as you prefer.

If you have a Macbook, you can set your track pad to left click with a single finger and right click with two fingers on the pad. Two fingers and drag scrolls.

Again, my apologies. I maintain the Mac Ping list on FreeRepublic. The threads are good places to get answers to questions... especially ones that don't come across as confrontational. Would you like to be included with the other 295 members? Let me know in a Freemail.
