When something similar happens on one of our three PC’s I do the control/alt/delete, open task manager and correct the problem without losing what I am working on.

Right, sure. Actually, Redangus, it is even easier on the Mac... simply right click on the Icon on the dock and select "Force Quit," restart the app, and you're done.

Sheesh, red, learn how to use your computer.

I have a better idea. I click on EBay place an ad for an iMac, hope someone buys it and then go out and buy a PC that works with all my software, doesn’t lock up three times in 4 month, has full functionality with my 3 year old HP printer(won’t scan), allows me to connect my weather station for downloads to the computer, allows me to use my music services.....
