a “generic” 8gb micro high capacity SD chip runs rings around any ipod. The now just on the market 16gb chips mean I will be able to migrate everthing from my 8gb chip to the 16gb chip when it arrives.

Apple does amazing “look stuff” however that is not enough. The Mac Air is a very cool concept and laptop however from my own mac snob sources, it is very underpowered for anything beyond the use as a snobbery device.

The success of the iPod never made sense to me. I have used generic flash memory MP3 players for almost 8 1/2 years. I never understood the need for sites such as iTunes or anything else that is site based. I like just placing the files I want in my player through standard file manipulation.

Exactly what kind of user interface does that SD chip have? None. So exactly how can it "run rings around any iPod" that has the best MP3 player UI on the market???

Apple would be surprised to hear that the 16GB flash RAM is only just now on the market... since they started shipping 32GB iPod touches last week.
