Appearing on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" Sunday, senator John McCain tried to qualify his remark from 2005 that senator Hillary Clinton "would make a good president."

"

The likely Republican presidential nominee said Clinton "would be a good president in the respect that I think she has integrity, I think she has all of the qualities that are necessary, but she has a very different philosophical view, the liberal Democratic view, than I have, which is conservative Republican."

McCain was not selected to be a winner. He was selected by the powers that be to ensure a Democrat victory.

He's also a safety net. If Hillary/Obama somehow go up in a shower of whale manure right before the election, Juan McQueeg will still cram Amnesty down our throats. No Cramnesty!

I don't understand this preference for Her Heinous over Obama, and you're far from the only one who has said as much.

It's the same type of admiration the Bush's have for Hitlery and Bubba. It's called globalism. The circle may now be complete with reports GWB will endorse McAmnesty.

anybody that says Hillary Clinton has integrity is either completely deluded, or they have no integrity themselves.

McCain is a twofer!

Actually, this is a threefer, because he also said he was a "conservative Republican".

Yeah, and I am the White King of f*&$ing Zimbabwe.

:-)

In other words, only 6% have legitimate medical reasons for abortions and the other 94% have them for selfish, self-centerness.

On Super Tuesday there were 14 million votes cast by Democrats, compared to only 8 million by Republicans, and that was with Romney still in the picture.

“3.3% of women have an abortion due to a risk to fetal health”

This one really sticks out for me.

How about women who have abortions because they know an illegal will replace them in the workforce?

Sounds to me like he was just shooting from the hip and was trying to be nice—as usual. He just can’t say anything bad about a Democrat.

He must smoke some “really good” stuff.

I’m sure he’ll make some similar comment this fall as the nominee, but it won’t be with my vote in the PA Primary on April 22nd.

No s#%t. I mean say she is smart enough to be President, which she may or may not be but to say she has integrity? Good Lord.

And you get your evidence where? Who selected him? Seems to me it was Republican primary voters who selected him.

Totally one hundred per cent agree. That statement did not have to be made. He could have said she has the skills, or she has the experience, or she has the determination, or she has the obsession....but the integrity????

Maybe one has to have the integrity of a Marxist Mafia Don to be President - in McCain’s eyes.

O.K., McCain backers, what do you have to say about THAT???

Re: McCain says Clinton would make a good president

Is he referring to the USA or to Mexico?

I honest to God don’t know how I am going to bring myself to vote for this man.

I don’t drink, but I just may need to in order to do it.

I don’t like McCain, but this could be his strategy of choosing weaker opponent.

Okay, I'm just not gettin' the strategy, if that's the case. Do you mean that people that would likely look favorably on McCain's subtle endorsement of Hillary would take his advice and vote for her instead of Obama?

I mean, why wouldn't that kind of person just vote for him? After all, his strategy has been to win over moderate & independent votes & that would be the person that would be targeted, wouldn't it?

Anyone that hates Republicans would tend to take the opposite tack and choose Obama because McCain said something nice about Hillary - wouldn't they?

I think sometimes what you see, is really what it is. I think McCain REALLY does think Hillary has integrity - which tells me a lot about how he views integrity. Thanks, but no thanks. McCain keeps digging his grave.

Comments like this can come back to haunt you - Hillary could run ads with this quote from her opponent. That’s why we need Obama as the opponent (not to mention the fact his nomination would guarantee the Clintons cannot get back into the White House).
