Nobody will believe he's changed from being only a RINO of convenience into a Reagan conservative ever again.
Many of us never did to begin with.
Judged by these standards Reagan wasn’t a Reagan conservative either.
I couldn’t believe folks bought into it this time.
If anything, he helped himself in 2012.
McCain will be too old in 2012 , He will step down for Mitt then.
I don’t think Romney had much chance of being the nominee in 2012 anyway (assuming there isn’t a Republican incumbent). But if McCain is the nominee and is defeated, the number of people who will hold support of the Republican ticket of 2008 against Romney is probably less than the number of who would be mad at him if he failed to support the nominee.
I couldn't agree more.
McAtzlan's nomination will be the worst thing to happen to the Republican Party and Romney will have been a part of that.
Reagan endorsed Ford after his defeat, and gave an eloquent and stirring speech that overshadowed Ford's own acceptance address.
President Ford and Ronald Reagan show solidarity after Ford secures the Republican nomination. From l-r: Robert Dole, Nancy Reagan, Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, Nelson Rockefeller, Happy Rockefeller, Betty Ford.

Did you expect him to endorse the Huckster? Come on, now, huckster would have Romney hanging from a lamp post for being of the wrong religion. Me too, as a matter of fact.
Flip Romney living up to his name.
I’d rather be waterboarded than vote for Juan McCain.
Risingtide says: Carry_Okie were all RINOs compared to you!
Your such a supper conservative, I’m in awe. Your so above all the candidates, you should be in a party all your own so you don’t have to rub shoulders with the common Republican.
The ONLY thing that will rouse enough of the conservative base to vote for McCain would be Romney as VEEP. McCain is too old to do two terms/ Romney would be perfectly positioned to run again in 2012——
When will Spanish be mandatory?
Oh come on. Who believed it in the first place? The only thing people believed in was that he looked good in a suit and had a chiseled jaw. While there is nothing wrong with any of those things when you are a Republican running claiming credit for pushing state run health care then one has to wonder where the Republican is in the Republican? Where’s the GOP?
This means that the RINOs have taken over the party. And even when they lose to Obama they will run Romney in 2012. By then we should be looking at the NAU and exchanging our dollars for ameros.
