How about putting your heads together to figure out what you all need to do to make sure this doesn't happen again come 2012?
I see lots of complaining about today, but I'm not seeing long-term strategy discussions.

Good luck with that. As for me, I will vote my conscience in full knowledge of McCain’s record.

He got liberals,”moderates” and ersatz conservatives to nominate him.He should have no problem getting them to elect him as well.
Granted,a Dem POTUS would be somewhat worse for the troops than McCain in the short run.But giving our country to McCain and his liberal friends would destroy conservatism in America in the long run..
And THAT would mean the ultimate and eternal distruction of our national security!
We are in one hell of a long war folks—A President McCain is tactical—no President McCain is strategic.

I have proudly plastered my cars & lawns with many stickers and signs over the years. I will NEVER have a McLame for ANYTHING sticker or sign near my property.

I know what you’re saying, but ‘broken glass Republican’ will never be more true than after this election. We’ll all be bleeding.

I wonder how long Free Republic will last in a world where the administration is run by frothing at the mouth rabid liberal beasts who have sworn that they will do anything from now on to prevent the evil conservatives from ever gaining power again.
Once the internet is controlled and censored by the feds and the so called "Fairness Doctrine" is instituted this country's left wing evolution could very well become irreversible.
It is a scary thought to think what will be left of the original values of this country.
After the dust settles I just hope we don't end up with our heads bowed low walking around stunned and muttering "Oh my G*d, What have we done."
I wonder what history's record will be of this event.

"Then vote for Hillary....but dont whine when we withdraw from Iraq."
Then vote for McCain...but don't whine when he gives up this nation's sovereignty by granting amnesty to every illegal in this country.
Please, stop with the childish BS. Do you really think that Hillary or Obama would pull our troops out of Iraq, knowing full well what would happen in the region if they do? You're kidding yourself if you think that either one of them will cut and run. They're not going to be held responsible for our failure there. They want to be re-elected to a second term. Besides, what guarantee has McCain given you that he won't join with the Dems once he's in the White House, to do the same thing you think Hillary or Obama would do?
To: Blood of Tyrants
You're right, BoT. We need to get behind him. McCain gets around an 80 conservative rating, where Obama is near or at zero. McCain would be frustrating, but we'd get most of what we want from him, in contrast to next to nothing from the Dems.
Huckster needs to get out now to let McCain unify the party, to the extent it can be. From here on, Huckster is only damaging his own party's chances.

I will be voting for the GOP nominee... allowing an abortion-loving, America-hating Democrat into the Whitehouse in a time of war is pure treason!

I'm with you. I'll vote for the conservative. Which nominee do you recommend?
Well considering the fact that Hillary is losing with far bigger numbers of votes than McCain is winning with I can go back and recycle the comments I was repeatedly flogged with due to my support of Hunter. He isn't going to win anyway. That means I'm free to vote purely on principle.

I will vote for who will most likely to respond to pressure from conservations.
