Mike Huckabee 12,025 47.85% Precincts Reporting: 169 of 2,472 (6.836% reporting)
John McCain 11,379 45.28%
Ron Paul 867 3.45%
Mitt Romney 628 2.49%
Fred D. Thompson 163 0.64%
Rudy Giuliani 65 0.25%
Not at all...
1191 required and (IF McCain won Virginia he has around 793.
In my mat that means he is a LONG way away from what he needs.
What is so wrong about everyone voting on the same day ... except for the few who truly will be out-of-pocket on election day?
And what in the good Lord's name would cause people to vote early in this particular election when everything was changing from day-to-day?
I'm glad to see that only a relatively small percentage of Republicans are this dim, but it should be zero.
And don't tell me that anyone voted for Romney out of principle ... unless their's was an anti-anti-Mormon vote.
In my county (Prince William), McCain won with over 50%. However, only 1500 people voted (there’s still a few precincts left to count).
In some elections, we have more than that many voters at my PRECINCT. The vote was less than 1% of the electorate.
The race is over, the republicans are sure McCain is the nominee and they aren’t coming out to vote. And even in THAT environment, Huckabee couldn’t beat McCain.
My guess is that if the race had been McCain/Romney, Romney would have won, and over twice as many republicans would have voted.
BTW, the democrats had almost 7000 votes. That’s over 4/1 over the republicans.
But our county is still republican — our county board chair won last november with almost 60% of the vote.
It is clear that more than a few republicans showed up to vote for Obama. He won 63-36%, and that’s after Hillary had an event here in our town on Sunday, and with a large hispanic population (which apparently is voting for Obama?).
I know of 6 people who voted for Romney, but he only got 69 total votes. He didn’t beat Ron Paul. Of course, Ron is still in the race and had signs all over the place here.
CNN now saying that Obama is ahead of Clinton in the Delegate count!

I want Clinton to win. She would be much easier to beat. A youthful hafrican who can cast spells on people by speaking in platitudes vs a stiff, old white man who can’t even lift his left arm would not bode well for us.
That is such a sobering thought. Not one I’m ready to contemplate.
Oh, for heaven’s sake, go to some of the threads & educate yourself about how Washington’s caucuses work. The delegates haven’t even been committed yet, and the primary isn’t until 2/19. All Huckabee is crying about is that the plurality of the delegates that were at the caucuses have indicated a preference for McCain. So it would appear likely that they will vote McCain when the convention is held. And the nominee is selected based on a 50-50 combo of primary votes & delegate selection. Absolutely no delegates have been assigned.
I don’t know why Huckster is promoting a lie (but I suppose it fits HIS agenda, and the moon-eyes lap it up), but I can’t believe Freepers are perpetuating it. I find Huckabee even more disgusting than McCain, if possible.

I just found out that MY precinct in Prince William is the precinct that hasn’t reported yet. So there will be at least a few more Romney votes. We usually are one of the first to report. We are of course all-electronic, so it shouldn’t take long to get the information, I wonder if something went wrong.
The VP choices on both sides are going to be critical factors.
LOL! It’s the endless energy of high school and college kids - he has a huge youth following. Poor things.
