I arrived at noon, there were plenty of Cops present. the hippy scum didn’t get anywhere, I took lots of photos, and I got one of Media Benjamin with Her Code Pinko Banner about 100 yards away with no media or cameras. alot of highschool kids were there and I took it to them, I asked who gave them the Cool anti-bush t-shirts? they didnt know, I asked them where they got the Bandannas they had covering their faces? they didnt know, I asked why they werer covering their faces...they didnt even have an answer for that when they couldnt even answer one question I was asking they “devolved into cussing” which I pointed out, then I told them that It was funny that for a bunch of “Non-conformists” they all looked like “Cookie-cutter commies”
I was laughing at them, and Boy were they getting pissed ...
they must have thought they were going to trash bush and not get called on it...It was a great rally. I bought 4 Marine magnetic stickers, and met alot of Great People.

I got there about the same time you did after searching for a parking spot for about 1/2 hour. We likely saw one another, I was the guy with an American Flag and a sign, “Land of the Free Because of the Brave” wearing a USS PIEDMONT jacket.
Health issues dictated that I had to leave around 4 pm and headed back over The Altamont. Traffic jam near Pleasanton to the 580/205 split, then it was free sailing to Modesto.
Thanks for being there. It was really great to see all the Vets coming out to stand up for the Marines.
One has to wonder if all those teeny-boppers were there to get an extra credit grade in their Current Events class.
Saw one guy walk by with reddish hair that looked like a litter of rats were using it as a nest. Sticking out the top of his hair was a yellow flower. I pointed him out to Jim and Sheila Robinson as said, “Look, a blooming idiot.”
I felt so out of place - I shaved and showered this morning. I need another shower.
