I show up late at the polls after work. There is a lifelong Dem, Switching parties! Declaring there's no way in he77 he would EVER vote for either of those two!

Absolutely! 9 months is an awful long time in a political race. Who was that fellow that was a shoe-in not only for the Repub nom but also miles ahead of Hillary (the other front runner back then)? Some Rudy guy?
Favorable media coverage won’t save him from Republican attack ads. The Clinton’s are nothing if not ruthless. I think Obama is soft. And he’s got nothing to fall back on besides a very liberal record with no military or foreign policy experience.
Your scenario has Obama running against Hillary and the GOP simultaneously. Hillary will be out of the picture long before the GOP goes up against Obama, perhaps even sooner than that.
True but I also heard that despite any attck he can still walk on water and part the read sea.
He does not need any of that stuff. He’s Black!
