Republicans: George Bush insists John McCain is a true conservative. James Dobson says he's not. Meanwhile, Newsweek predicts "there will be blood" in the GOP. We predict a Republican president. There has to be.
President Bush, speaking on "Fox News Sunday," responded "absolutely" to host Chris Wallace's question of whether John McCain was a "true conservative." McCain is "very strong on national defense," is "tough fiscally," "believes the tax cuts ought to be permanent" and is "pro-life," Bush noted.
For Obama and Hillary, none of the above apply.
Bush did say, "I think that if John is the nominee, he has got some convincing to do to convince people that he is a solid conservative." Indeed he does, as evidenced by Mike Huckabee's win in the Nebraska caucuses over the weekend.
McCain has done well in primaries where independents could vote for him. In caucuses dominated by party activists, he's done poorly. The caucuses of Maine, Minnesota, Alaska, Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, Nevada and Wyoming were all won by Romney. One might dub McCain the "rebel without a caucus."
Ann Coulter may vote for Hillary Clinton, but we will not. The time for Coulters and the true believers to have rallied behind Mitt Romney was before Super Tuesday. It is by waiting for the next Reagan that they've risked sticking us with the next Clinton.

You make a good point. After 32 years of being a Republican I have come to realize I am an alien in my own party. Too many Republican officials have become Democrats (socialists) in their attitudes and desires. There are some quality conservatives left in the party, but it seems the number is quickly shrinking.
McCain is the last straw for me. No way can I vote for the guy, or for that matter, Huckabee. I will, however, support my conservative Republican congressman.
- That’s a very legitimate concern. McCain will likely go along with anything Democrats propose, while dragging Pubs in Congress to the left. Whereas Republicans will most likely stand up to a Democrat Prez, and block the agenda.
And once the illegals are allowed to vote, the Republicans will never win another election.....
You don’t need to vote on it. Your betters in the party have decided for you. Now calm down, grow up, and follow the lemmings to certain destruction.
Hillary will not leave Iraq until she can claim victory, and even then we wont leave entirely. We just built the worlds largest airport in Iraq (did you guys know this?). there is NO WAY we are leaving, under ANY President.
I am not voting for McCain either. I think we should orgainize a write in candidate as a bloc to protest the hijacking of the GOP. One of the Oklahoma Senators would be fine by me.
I would actually settle for a Republican simply fit for the office. McCain’s history of political betrayal disqualifies him.
I offer this to consider. Consider today and what's going on.
Then ... think about this...
"Wake Up!" It's time to get involved. It's time to vote.
Even bad things happen for a "reason." We must do our best. Read the excerpt from "Wake UP!"
Notice that the emphasis here is on a deliberate rejection,
or as some translations put it, a "willing ignorance."
Thus, it is a deliberate action on a person's part not to believe.
People refuse to believe these things
even when presented with evidence
Then we lose. Next time, let’s all hire a conservative.
All of your votes are belong to them.
When the high and mighty moderates use the word 'purist' it is about illegal invasion... they won't come out all the time and say you are a racist.... they couch it with their upturned noses and use the word purist.
a vote for McCain is also a vote for George Soros:
John McCain funded by Soros since 2001 ^

John McCain: George Soros’ Useful Idiot?

“...in 2001, John McCain founded the Reform Institute largely funded by a huge donation from George Soros Open Society Institute and his Tides Foundation.”
Well you a have a knack for winning over zero people to support your loser candidate with that screed.
No, I think the Republican party will probably still win elections.
But it won’t be a conservative party anymore.
We are still in the Primary stage of this election cycle for cryin’ out loud. Those whom still have a Primary ahead of them vote for anybody but McPain and if inspite of those efforts he does win think about what we will do for the General election then. Sheesh!
By voting against McPain, there is that possibility we might get another chance at the Convention. Get the word out that the base doesn’t like what’s happening. The GOP will have no choice but to recognize us. Turn it around on them. They are the ones saying we haven’t any choice, they’ll (us) vote our way. Turn it around by voting in your primary for anybody but McPain. Make the GOP recognize us.
You don’t need us. And some of your soldiers here are as snotty as McCain. Go have your little party without the right. You want a moderate, left wing party, then by all means go for it. You want him. You nominated him. Have a ball.
The die is cast. Unenthusiastic support from conservatives finishes your candidate. The little people have to run precincts and work for the candidate at ground zero. It’s all you can do to cajole or bully people into supporting him at all. I won’t. I’m finished with the Rockefeller Wing. I held my nose for Dole and Bush, but not for McCain. He’s the worst form of reptile. Unless, you are a leftist, you’d get next to nothing from him. But the illegals will get plenty of goodies. No McCain for me, ever. My best.
