I think they both should go ahead and join the Demorat party ...

McInsane tried that before but let Jeffords slip in. I think he may have tried again if he hadn't noticed how Jeffords got shat upon by the Dims and then got totally ignored by the press 2 weeks after he went Indy.

I really think the press ignoring another nobody Indy with no one to caucus with is what stopped him from dumping the (R) from behind his name since.

Thank you.f I recall, it was Bush who signed Campaign Finance Reform after he said he thought it was unconstitutional. He was also the prime mover on Immigration Reform that failed. He was also the same person who signed pork barrel/ear mark legislation for so many years. He was also the person who ignored the Generals who said we didn’t have enough troops to complete the job in Iraq until late 2006. Beat up on Mc Cain if you want, but I think Mc Cain would have done better than Bush.

I think you are wrong. President Bush has presided over the a revolution on a scale equal to what Clinton oversaw with the tech and internet boom. President Bush declared American hearts need mending as a first step towards making the right choices leading up to and including pregnancy. He got lucky just like Clinton in that technology has become cheap and widely available which gives the parent stunning close ups of their baby early on in the pregnancy. Doctors are compelled by this technology to be more moral in the way in which they carry out their jobs. Nothing like the 80’s today. Nothing like it.

I support President Bush. Period. He’s not perfect, but I would go to war and die under his leadership.. same for John McCain.

If we ever get to a single-party rule.. then you can just pass any conservative legislation you can come up with.. and I’m sure among conservatives.. you/we would disagree on a TON of things even if we had full ability to pass anything we want as a group.

"Bush Thinks McCain Is A Conservative'

President Bush,

I am eternally grateful that you were the man God placed to lead this country on 9/11. I am eternally grateful that you were in place to give us not only one but thanks to some stubborn prodding and arm twisting, two conservative justices on the Supreme Court to stem the tide of judicial socialism forced on America. That having been said, you are NOT a conservative but you do have some conservative leanings and for that, I am grateful.

That you would even claim that you believe that "McCain is a Conservative," shows how very little you understand conservatism, though that should not be surprising as you have attempted in every possible way to give us "Eur-Amerika" (NorthAmerican Union.)

I think the Republican Party is taking the conservatives for granted. McCain is completely liberal. Sure , we all respect his military service but that does not mean he is a conservative. I remember Senator Inouye from Hawai. He was a great war hero who lost a limb, but he was disgraceful in the manner he dealt with Oliver North during the Iran Contra hearings. I think this website has the right idea. If Hillary wins, the Republicans will fight her liberalism. If McCain wins, the Republicans will back McCain's liberalism because he is in the party. Principles are more important than the party.

And he thought Harriet Myers was a top notch choice for the supremes and he also thought amnesty for f-ing illegals was a grand scheme too.
Bush lost me at that point.

Bush and McCain are Goldwater Conservatives of the 21st Century. Get used to it “Ding Bat”! Capitalism, Free Enterprise, Christian morality, are spreading around the world. Why do you think the Muslims are fighting so hard? The most disappointing conservatives are people like you who will not let others enjoy what we Americans invented.

Amen. I can’t express the great love and appreciation I have for this President. And Laura Bush is clearly the role model for all First Ladies.. following in the footsteps of her mother in law.

Well yes. Harriet Myers was a mistake. Katrina was another. And not intervening with Rumsfeld as another big one.

However, it’s always easier in hindsite to see this.. and that’s true on all 3 issues.

Reagan would look at Iran Contra, Lebanon, Amnesty and spending-cuts as areas where he failed.

Baby Bush wouldn’t know an honest conservative if it bit him on the ass. Bush/McCain are peas in a pod. Go along to get along. Appease. Spend. Stroke the left. Jack up government spending, size and deficits. More entitlements. More giveaways.

Only the media calls these jerks “conservatives.” Good conservatives know better. But I am preaching to the choir.

Not surprising since Bush thinks Bush is a conservative. Both are right of center but both are too open to footsy with the left.
