Hillary Clinton's most senior advisers are in a state of "panic" about her presidential prospects and are plotting to enlist Democrat leaders in Congress to thwart her rival Barack Obama's ambitions.

--

The Clinton camp hopes to stop the Obama bandwagon by winning Texas and Ohio primaries on March 4, after which Mrs Clinton is planning to call on party grandees including Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House of Representatives and Harry Reid, the party's leader in the Senate, to persuade Mr Obama to stand down.

She’ll carry PA. True there are large populations of black votes in ther big cities, but if you look at the demographis statewide, it favors her. The PA Governor and the Phil. (Black) Mayor have endorsed hillary. They have good political machines that will work for her.

I doubt Hillary wants us to read that her advisers are in a state of panic.

Watch for the media to begin reporting and highlighting that conservatives will sit out the next election (actually, it already has started in a D.C. newspaper).

This is the set-up to be implemented so that when McCain loses, the blame will be heaped on the conservative bloc......and conservatives will then be ignored by GOP incumbents and candidates for a long, long time. Any conservative clout will be minimalized or evaporated.

This is the media's current strategery and it will work perfectly.......not here on this forum, but in the minds of the masses who don't understand the nuances of some conservative thought processes which proffers the idea that mass suicide will surely create a new Phoenix which will miraculously spring from the ashes at a time uncertain.

That accompished, the media and the left (one and the same) will begin work on destroying the electoral college system which prevents us from being a mob-contolled pure democracy (actually, they already have started on this, also).

Ok, if you got that, then what? What are we supposed to be looking for?

" I’d MUCH rather have him in the White House than Billary."

I understand what you're saying, but if you're going to vote for him be sure about it.

We're just beginning to see the cult of personality that's going to build around this guy.

IMO, he's going to have coattails and bring in a majority in the House and increase their lead in the Senate.

The Hildabeat, OTOH, would be more likely to bring in strong opposition in congress and get less of the Socialist agenda done.

Just MHO, mind you. Too bad we're having to talk about this kind of stuff at this time.

And their conceit and panic will lead high visability cheating and a widespread Obama revolt!

This is going to get interesting once the Super Delegates get involved!

They already are. Christine Gregoire, governor and thus a superdelegate here in Washington State just endorsed Obama.

They now fear that he could pick Colin Powell or former congressman JC Watts, both of whom are African American, as his running mate.

JC Watts, I could live with. Powell... um, no.

His selection could solidy the Conservative base to McCain, as well as “fit” the color scheme everyone wants to promote this election cycle. Personally, I could care less what color someone is. I care about their principles, voting record, and their tendency to maintain a strict Constitutional judciary, without making it a “living document”.

And their two senators who are also super delegates endorsed Hillary. This is funny. They just had a caucus in Washington, and in a few weeks they are going to have a primary also. What a screwed up system.

Unless the ticket comes out HClinton/Clinton/Obama. Then, it’s a potential 16 yr. reign of terror.

We need to back our nominee like a brick wall to ensure that doesn’t happen.

LOL! Interesting all the dim Super Delegates from NJ endorsed Clinton. Gov. Corslime and Sen Menendez are so far up Hillary’s patootie, hoping for the VP nod or a cabinet post.

“Too bad we’re having to talk about this kind of stuff at this time.”

Sad, but true! IMHO our country deserves better than any viable option remaining, but we will have to minimize any damage produced during this election cycle and wait for 2012 to produce a record Conservative turnout to take back Congress and the Oval Office.

I like JC, but he has some bagage in his personal life, including children fathered out of wedlock and a sister busted for murder.

I think he meant "taken out" in terms of a Clinton power play to deny him the nomination, not taken out in terms of assassination which I don't think any Freeper would ever advocate.

Personally, I think Obama has come too far in the process to be denied the nomination without having the Democrat party torn to pieces. Yeah, the Clintons can still pull it out with a few strategic victories in big states and some serious arm-twisting of super-delegates, but the worm has turned on them and too many prominent Democrats have thrown their weight behind the Obama express.

I see no scenario where the Clintons can win the nomination by a significant enough margin where the Obama supporters will get behind them for the general. The only way for Obama to lose the nomination now is to be "cheated" out of it.

You are correct! After the anger against McCain somewhat subsided, I came to the same conclusion. I’ll hold my nose & vote for McCain.
