Hillary Clinton's most senior advisers are in a state of "panic" about her presidential prospects and are plotting to enlist Democrat leaders in Congress to thwart her rival Barack Obama's ambitions.

--

The Clinton camp hopes to stop the Obama bandwagon by winning Texas and Ohio primaries on March 4, after which Mrs Clinton is planning to call on party grandees including Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House of Representatives and Harry Reid, the party's leader in the Senate, to persuade Mr Obama to stand down.

‘I’m probably going to pick up a VA Dem ballot next Tuesday and vote for Obama.”

Great idea. A lot of so-called independents and moderates had their hand in picking the Republican nominee. We might as well return the favor.

This has been one bizarre election process, the strangest I’ve ever seen.

Yep, i keep looking for bad news coming Obama’s way.

He's not been in public office long enough to have skeletons in the closet or experience to run the country.

But the Clinton camp fears that a failure to engineer a deal could lead to bitter battles at the Democrat convention in Denver in late August, which could even end with Al Gore, the former vice president, emerging as a compromise candidate.

Right.............Yeah

I think Mrs. Clinton is counting on a lot of big IFs. IF she wins Texas and Ohio and IF she can convince the Party bigwigs to back her and so on. Obama has the momentum, and she doesn’t.

Hillary will have Obama killed and blame it on right wing, racist Republicans.

If I were advising Hillary my advice would be simple: go racial. Barack is the black candidate. Black folks are voting for him for the sole reason of how he looks. Oprah is supporting him because he’s black. Say it. Talk about it. Draw Oprah out into the open on it. The only ones it would hurt is Obama and Oprah, a would drive a wedge between him and his growing white support. Mention the Muslim angle, the Pastor angle, the Farrakhan/Quadaffi angle. It’s all good.

Obama will win Tuesday’s primaries but the delegate gap wont close much. Texas, Ohio and PA are the big ones. If she wins them with 5-10% margins, she will go to the convention with the most delegates and popular vote. A lot of Obama’s delegates come from Caucus Red States.

“I’d MUCH rather have him in the White House than Billary.”

Have you really given that much thought to your post? The man has ZERO experience and refuses to really state any platform, for starters. So please examine his record before you cast your vote.

Did you catch this in the article?

Donna Brazile, an African American strategist, said last week: "If 795 of my colleagues decide this election, I will quit the Democratic Party."

Promises, promises....

Funny, Clinton’s troubles are a dream come true here, but I think the reality is that Obama will be harder to beat.

Watching and praying.

No No No. Don’t know how you go that interpretation. I was talking about the anarchy and riots in the streets like the wons that occurred at the Dem. Convention of 1968 in Chicago. It split their party in two and the Republicans won big that year.

I’m betting on revelations of RECENT DRUG USE. He’s awfully thin and energetic (check pupil size and nasal membranes...). I think that was the implication of the “we’ve got dirt on him, but we’re too noble to use it” ploy from Hillary a while back.
