“But most significant is that the border wall-levee system will stay along the river’s edge. Earlier plans had the fence winding through towns like Granjeno as far as two miles inland from the Rio Grande, cutting off huge swaths of property into a no-man’s land between the fence and the river. The fence also would have cut off water access to farmers and ranchers in the area.”
WTF? Apparently, the feds don’t even know where the border is located. This is BS, pure and simple. Likely a result of the KBH amendment to the spening bill a few weeks back.
Time to remind these a$$holes where the real power lies in this country. We demanded a fence, we expected a fence, we are getting screwed, again. Tall fences, wide gates... Doesn’t seem such a difficult idea, to me.
Lock and Load.
The Rio isn’t that big or deep anymore.....why don’t the just build the d*mn fence down the middle of the river, that would make it even more difficult to get over.
They will grab land for enviro-wackos and highways to nowhere, but not to secure the border. Why am I not surprised.
The real power seems to lie with the voters who will sell out their principles for an empty promise. McCain should never have advanced beyond a second tier candidate after his “comprehensive immigration reform,” fiasco last summer. The ignorant voters have now made him the leader.
Compromise = Y’all come.
If its good enough for Israel it should be good enough for the U.S.
I don’t give a damned whether the Mexicans take offense at the construction of the Fence.If they did their job keeping their people at home we Americans would’nt need to build it.
