I don't think so. Fred was gentleman enough to wait until Romney dropped out before endorsing McCain. I don't think Fred gets much out of this.

Reminds me of the show "The Producers". Each old lady was promised a 100% share of the profits.

I don’t understand how people can just sell themselves. I know, it’s politics, but they’re supposed to have souls!!! What about the fear of God?? Does that NOT exist anymore????? Consequences!!!

Sorry, I’m more upset now than when he dropped out.

I seriously doubt it. The time to trade endorsements for favors would have been before Florida, or at the very least before Super Tuesday. I think it's extremely likely that Crist won promises from McCain for his work in Florida; Giuliani probably exacted promises for endorsing before Tuesday.

All endorsements now are simply after-the-fact, close ranks around the nominee statements. Unfortunately McCain probably doesn't need anyone's help now (until November, when he may lose).
