This has been my first Primary here on Free Republic, and I have been shocked at the hatred I have seen posted here. It has been very disappointing, and I think it is going to take some time for people to recover from this.

Conservatives don't have a candidate, and Third Party is the only solution I see at this time.

Well, I don’t want to give the impression that it’s ALL vicious and name-calling. There’s alot of thoughtful questions and points of view here that make it worthwhile. At the very least, I can see how other people (especially those that don’t happen to agree with me) think.

I guess with this issue feelings run deep.

Don’t know about 3rd party, but after McCain told David Letterman last year that our troops lives had been wasted, (by Bush, he implied), and of course he got his NYC applause, I knew he was a kook.

That was the last straw, I knew I could never consider him, and I still don’t.

A man with that kind of character, never.

It's NOT a solution, it's just a way for people to feel righteous about their vote. The last time we had a Third Party candidate, all it got us was 8 years of x42 and Her Heinous, and the rise of Islamofascism in response to the spinelessness those murderers saw in the American government.
