Oh, well. At least the two worst candidates (Rudy and Romney) are out of the race.

lol. Agreed.

There's the first demand that I've seen for someone's donation back. Obviously they made the donation and told the candidate the strings that were attached to it before hand.

Sheesh!

Sorry, but he’s a thug and a scumbag. He drove around Watts pointing guns at Black people for kicks and his campaign for the Senate was filled to the brim with Jew baiting, first against his Dem primary opponent, then against Allen (who is half-Jewish).

“As for his getting into the race late, that was seen as a great wisdom here on FR while it was happening. Now, fair weather conservatives are complaining.”

It was never seen as great wisdom by me. I supported Fred early, but no one believed it because I criticized his constant delays at entering the race, and once mocked Fredheads as portraying it all as “a strategy so brilliant only a few could comprehend it, but was in reality indecisiveness and a poor organization.”

I was complaining about his indecisiveness in mid-summer. And I’d attribute the disappointing contributions to the indecisiveness, a poor campaign, and a MSM eager and willing to portray it all in the worst possible light. But, in the end, Fred and his team did a poor job, and a huge amount of support was there for the taking if they’d just been more timely and better organized, and more determined.

Drinking Coffee  "Fred is a man of principle. He would not sell out to gain a VP slot."
He won't be VP.  The veep needs to be able to bring a large swing state into play like Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania and that has real caché with independents.  The only thing Fred might bring is the segment of the party that hates McCain.  Hence, Fred will get the ticket all the way to 28%... the percentage of the electorate that is self proclaimed Republicans.

A lot of folks tend to forget that McCain will be 72 this year. If he wins the election and makes it through the first four years, I seriously doubt that he will run for re-election in 2012. On the other hand, if Hillary or Obama gets into the White House, they will very likely run for another four years after their term is up.

So as much as I dislike a number of McCain's viewpoints, I'd much rather put up with four years of him than eight years of Hillary or Obama.

Fred waited until the race was settled before he said much. That’s rolling over easily?

now you hopefully know that. That
drum you’re banging? You’ve shredded
it.

Standing on your principles will certainly elect the bigger threat to the constitution — Hillary or Obama and either of them will certainly attempt to bury your principles.

Usually such tactics work for y'all. But you're going to have a hard time sellin' it on behalf of such a virulent enemy of the Bill of Rights and our God-given gift of self-government.

Maybe the elites have just conceded this election before it starts.

The most damnable aspect of the modern-day, blue-stocking fiscal cons, on the whole, is that they're far, far more concerned about making certain they continue to enjoy a ready, steady stream of cheap roofers, pool boys and lawn maintenance men than they are with maintaining the sanctity and security of our nation's border.

You're seeing a revoltingly representative sampling of them posting tonight, in fact. Right on this very thread.

Thus, the rope comment ;) Save me some :)

For the first time ever, I don’t know how I’m voting in Nov. It’s a new thing for me. My first ever vote was for Reagan in the 80s. I’m not sure I can vote for McCain. And honestly, I doubt my vote would count anyway. He’s gonna lose big time in the general, imo. I see positives of McCain v Hillary/Obama and I respect his military service and dont’ respect anything about the other two. I’m just happy I don’t have to vote tomorrow, lol. I have many months to figure it out.

Yeah, I've been called that a few times this week. Funny, I never said that to any one when they didn't vote the way I wanted them to.

It’s a big burden of power, but I’m sure you can handle it,

LOL. I guess all those years as a cop helped prepare me for the power AND the traitor role!
