I am sad that people are not mature enough to accept this. We can disagree on issues, but at the end of the day it’s about our country

a voice of reason!

Thanks for dropping by - watch out for all the little kiddies who are scooping up their marbles and running for home

“On the very same day they start hawking cherry Slurpees in Hell, Fred”.

Good one.

Amazing that anyone would even consider voting for McCain, after what he has done to Republicans for 8 years, working with the enemy to defeat the Pres and us, basically running a shadow gov.

I have never once even considered him a possibility for my vote, nor do I now.

Why vote for our enemy?

Weird, how some rationalize these things, kinda like battered wife syndrome? So Fred is saying "stay with your abuser to keep the family together"? LOL So absurd!

Fred is obviously not the man I thought he was. I’m sorry that I ever even thought of voting for him. I’m glad he left the race.

ROFL!!! Is this what I've got to look forward to down-thread? You're kidding, right?

While you are feeling superior it might interest you to know that your tag line has not been proved as a statement from lincoln. It may have really come from P.T. Barnum.

I’m not excited about this, but I did expect it. McCain is the only guy left standing. What’s Fred supposed to do ... say everyone should vote for Hillary? It’s frustrating because Fred would have been an awesome president, but McCain is just the reality at this point. This doesn’t change my opinion about Fred.

Really?

I watched him flip a whole room full of Texas Huckabee supporters into his own column on Wednesday.

By the power of the truth he speaks about our condition as a nation and as a movement.

He’s no caricature. He’s one of the few real statesmen left.

I LOVE having ALL that power! ;o)

Fred lost. I’m sorry to say that as I tallied up my donation checks today, but it is reality. I’m not willing to just throw in the towel to jihadists for the sake of pie in the sky. My children are not going to live in a USA populated with suicide bombers trying to impose sharia law. Our ancestors gave their lives for this country and we are going to give it away because the conservative cause didn’t prevail this election?

No, your children are going to live in a Balkanized USA populated by 60 million new Americans who don't care about the preservation of our American culture. And who is going to be giving it away? "All of the above".

I think Fred is the best choice for VP.

McCain might not make it a full term.

Oh, I forgot to add “You’re a traitor” and “You need to grow up.” LOL.

It’s a big burden of power, but I’m sure you can handle it, jan. :D

“Yeah, right. Two old pharts beyond the age of 60, both
with bouts of cancer currently in remission or under control who will remind voters of their grandfathers. That will go over well with the young electorate, won’t it?”

They could run as the “Geritol Ticket”.

I am sick. My country is gone. I am ready to kill my sister for supporting the Mc Queeg....
I literally cannnot take any more

I would say, "Don't kill yourself or your sister", but that'll just be two more votes for Hillary Obama, not that will make that much difference this time.

Yeah, there’s some of that, with a pinch of “grow up” and another pinch of “life as we know it is ending”. The usual stuff. :D

Only a political neophyte would fail to understand why Fred’s support began to dissipate, both his financial and voter support.

Fred's support never materialized.

His first month, his team put out that they needed $5 mil to get things started then more as the months went by.

They got $3.5 mil and less as the months went by.

Politics runs on money. If there's no money there's no campaign.

As for his getting into the race late, that was seen as a great wisdom here on FR while it was happening. Now, fair weather conservatives are complaining.

It's REALLY easy to be, as so many on FR are, armchair campaign managers after the fact. There are no decisions to be accountable for that way.

“(nevermind that Allen’s opponent was a vicious anti-Semite, violent racist, and enjoyed writing about pedophilia).”

With all due respect. I’m not a huge fan of Webb’s politics but he is a VN vet who was awarded the Navy Cross, Silver Star and I think a couple Bronze Stars. Married to a Vietnamese woman.
That pedophile thing was something he witnessed and wrote about.
Just saying. :-)

John Bolton just essentially endorsed McCain at CPAC, too. Given that McCain basically has the nomination wrapped up, at this point both Thompson and Bolton are simply endorsing McCain over the alternative of ‘toon or Obama. I understand it, and I continue to greatly respect both men.

It doesn’t mean I agree, though. I will continue to do my own research and make my own decisions. Nothing is going to change if we continue to vote for whomever the GOP pushes our way. I will no longer vote for political relativism.

On this thread I’ve posted a tiny fraction of the knives McCain has stuck in the backs of conservatives. And it’s like they’re practically invisible.
