Fred Thompson, the one-time Republican presidential candidate, endorsed Sen. John McCain Friday, calling on the party to "close ranks" behind the presumed nominee

“wow..you took the words out of my mouth.”
And many do not agree with the assessment. :D
I really can’t believe that this thread is STILL going!
I still had my Fred 08 stickers on all my cars. They are coming off as we speak.
Ain’t that the truth.
Oh NoGrayZone stop being so sensitive the place we are all in is not a happy one!
We really are not privy of knowning what is bubbling behind the scences it might be something good for us who knows!
Keep the faith and be kind to one another if you want the blessing this squabbling got us into the place we are in.
It is right to fight for good but it is not right to be mean to your neightbor who is not your opponet but just disagrees with you!
There is a differents!
Oh, I know, I was agreeing with you. I think I did that quite poorly though, lol. My little mini rant was towards restornu, not you. I apologize for that.

You really need to take your own advise before you spew to others.

After all the bruises the Mitt folks got you cant even take thimble of ribbing!
We never were mean to you!
What are you talking about? I’ve never attacked, insulted or was ever mean to any Mitt folks. I voted for Mitt in the primary, you confusing me with someone else?
I freely admit I only read enough posts on this thread to see how much vitriol was flowing.
I don’t know why anyone would find this surprising.
McCain is the apparent nominee. Fred is his friend. We don’t seem to have a chance for another Republican nominee that I can see.
What do people expect Fred to do?
And I have been praying that Fred would be the vice president. Don’t know if he’d want it or not, but he’d be a great choice and a good influence on McCain (maybe).
Figures...
Those who were foolish enough to believe that Thompson was sincerely running as a conservative expect the candidate to pledge his delegates to a fellow conservative in about 5 more months, as the September nominating convention approaches. During the next 5 months they expect that a selfproclaimed conservative like Thompson would remain active and outspoken against the nomination of a liberal Republican.
This is just an attempt to unify the party around the nominee now that the nominating contest is effectively over. Romney essentially did the same thing when he dropped out.
Best way to get our messages across to the bozos who did us in,The RNC IMHO, is to cut off their funding as best we can.
Donate only to individual conservative candidates and screw the party machine as long as they are screwing us.
I’ve been at work today. Tomorrow also. I’ll be back at you Monday. Let’s talk.
See my post #1455. If you want input keep in touch.
This Fredhead is happy. Good people are endorsing McCain..Thompson, Nancy Reagan, Forbes, Ted Olsen, Brownback, Coburn and stand by for Newt and more....anyone that does NOT believe their is a difference between McCain and Hillary or Obama is a deadhead
“Most people have the ability to be more than a single issue voter... “
But single issue voters are supporting McCain, because McCain supported the surge, which is working.
However, McCain’s amnesty mindset will hurt us in fighting the WOT, because known terrorists have crossed our borders, and who knows how many terrorists cells there are already in our our country.
Border security = national security.
Huckabee has a chance. He just won Kansas by a remarkably huge margin over McCain.
And I think Obama in office would unite Conservative & Republicans like never before since the Amnesty battle.
They wouldn’t be united if McCain wins it. What you see now in disunity would continue through his term.
***anyone that does NOT believe their is a difference between McCain and Hillary or Obama is a deadhead***
Huckabee has a chance.
