FYI...Reagan supported Ford in 1976 after losing the nomination to him. And, I’m sure he voted for Ford as well.

I wouldn't be sure of that at all. Reagan helped him only nominally and didn't exactly go the extra yard. He probably considered Ford and Carer to be basically the same. Since that election was pretty close to being 50-50, the electorate didn't perceive much difference between them. Reagan probably wanted Carter to win so that he could try again in 1980.

I voted for Ford, too.

To my way of thinking, he would be better than Carter, and he was only eligible for one term.

I was wrong about how bad Carter would be. He was way worse than even I had imagined.

Something for those in formerly red and purple States to think about.
