Are there any Freepers who support John McCain?

Are there any Freepers who support John McCain?

If you support Mr. McCain, can you make the case for your man?

Can you make the case without bringing up the War?

Can you make the case without bringing up Judges?

Can you make the case without using any ACU ratings? (Those don't impress anybody.)

Can you make the case without insults or telling people to "calm down"?

Can you make the case without the type of lying and dishonesty we've come to expect from John McCain and his special friend Mike Huckabee?

Can you make the case without trashing Barack Obama?

Can you make the case without using Hillary Rodham Clinton as some kind of boogyman or boogyperson?

Can you?

The ball is in your court.

Good post, FARS.

I don't care for McCain, but I have to think what would happen on just a few issues if there wasn't a Republican in the White House.

Alot of people are justifiably disenchanted with some decisions with President Bush made, but think about what would have happened if either the Beasty Girl or Senator Empty Suit had been in the hot seat since 2/01;

Taxes would have raised dramatically to fill the government coffer's share of the GDP following the stock market crash that started in 3/00, plunging us and most of the world's economies in a tailspin

We would most certainley not have struck back at Al Qaeda, leaving the Taliban and extreme jihadists free reign throughout the world - very much including the US, where we probably would have lost over 1 million civilians by now.

The 911 stock market crash would have taken us out and the government - still ours , but considering defaulting on the constitution in favor of being owned by the UN - would be confiscating personal property (guns 1st!) by the neighborhood to pay their bills, and make payments on the high interest loans they negotiated with the EU.

Sodamnstillaliveandkicking Hussein would have been testing nuclear bombs for the last 3 years - 1st on Israel, then on his oil rich neighbors, then us (except for the slice the UN gives him).

Our now absolute nightmarish cities would have become a breeding ground for human embryos, and their mothers/factories would be paid to stay home from the moment of inception to the time the baby/product grew until it was ripe for harvesting.

Mexicans that provide two witnesses that one of their ancestors might have lived on a certain lot would have it transferred over to them post haste, along with whatever improvements the "illegal squatter" had put on it. That's the only way we'd be able to attract foreign investment at all.

All: please, for America’s sake, set the dishonest smear campaigns aside and find out what Mike Huckabee is about.

Then, if so moved, please volunteer and give money.

“I am wondering how you can believe he will be that strong against the terrorists when he is on record saying they need attorneys and access to our legal system.”

McCain’s statement that he wants to close Gitmo is pretty unsettling..But rather than put the detainees into the American Court system,. he might do better to set up a solid military tribunal system and let the detainees have access to military JAG attorneys, but not to the American court system..I think he is more concerned about abuses to the detainees which is understandable, but he needs to stay with the idea of an American Military Tribunal system with it’s own code of Military Justice..

“Why don’t you make a case for having a liberal dem as Commander in Chief in a time of war?”

Are you refering to McCain?

“I will support McCain in the general election. He’s not Hillary or Obama and he’ll be an upgrade over W.”

How would McCain be an upgrade over W?

And a STORMTROOPER for Ted Kennedy!

You may be right about the point you make, but I agree with Peggy Noonan’s assessment that GWB is personally responsible for the current out-of-favor status of the Republican Party. The length of the Iraq War, the controversial pretense for entering it, as well as other missteps, have slowly chipped away at the credibility of the GOP on Bush’s watch. The public view of Bush is a poor one, as is easily shown by his approval ratings. The GOP will pay the price for that for the next couple of election cycles, at least.

“There’s not going to be any GOP majority anywhere if people don’t get out and vote for Johnny. So maybe you need to rethink your strategy.”

What does voting for McCain have to do with a GOP majority?

I not sure we disagree.
Count me as undecided.

“It’s obvious your mind is made up...”

That’s odd since even I don’t know who I will vote for, yet.

Maybe you are clairvoyant.

“How DARE you even imply that any party or candidate owns my vote and that it is my duty to vote for any party candidate regardless of their politics.

If a party or a candidate cannot EARN my vote then they don’t get it.

That simple.”

Good point.

“Unfortunately mccain is a liar. hannity let some dude get away with the “i was against tax cuts without reducing spending” when it was actually “tax cuts for the rich”.”

I would like the McCain folks to acknowledge the fact that McCain is lying when he says “i was against tax cuts without reducing spending”.

It would give the McCain folks more credibility when they make their case.

If McCain fans aren’t going to admit that McCain has a problem with the truth, then I mean c’mon, why should I believe them about anything else?

Don’t bu!!$h!t me.
